It’s a poor result but I fancy us to do em in the second leg.

Seriously now who cares if it’s an irrelevant fixture? It’s an embarrassment. 6k Burnley fans attendance and yet another appalling case of Dyche bypassing the midfield for 60 minutes against a substantially worse team. Sick of it.

First half performance was ok. Played some nice football and should have been 2 or 3 up albeit a bit open defensively. Then gave away a goal with a stupid mistake. Second half didn't defend two corners and reverted to hoof ball instead of what worked in the first half. Hart should have done better with the second goal. Palmed it straight back into the middle of the box. Third goal just left 3 men unmarked on the edge of the box. After that second half performance was atrocious and Sunderland deserved to win. No clue how to break teams down under Dyche and never have.

I'm just glad Dyche took Lennon off early, at least he'll be fully fit to start against Liverpool on Saturday.

Disappointing, but no surprise. Burton last season was bad enough, tbh. Not sure when I'll next bother with cup football, given our recent record...

Most of them have confirmed why they’re not first choice on Saturday. At least that’s been clarified.
Move on . We have been a vast improvement in the league this season and that’s the most important upward trend.
And no I didn’t go tonight as i’m in Bournemouth. They managed to thrash Forest Green Rovers on penalties. The EFL cup us what it is. Get over it.
So you think it's a complete coincidence that in recent years we've lost to Port Vale, Lincoln, Accy Stanley, Burton and now Sunderland reserves?

Yes exactly. Makes you wonder why players like Lennon, Gibson, Vydra etc weren't going all out to impress

Only one win against lower opposition in his time at the club, rovers.. Which he really couldn't lose... does suggest a pattern. Its simply appalling regardless of premiership status. No amount of positive platitudes can cover up the obvious.. desire, hard work, the will to win ect.. ect.. Are not required for cup games.

Dyche deserves all the credit he gets for our current position but that doesn't mean he's exempt from criticism. This is simply embarrassing.

What was it, £50 million's worth on the pitch? Something very wrong with this.

Bodens a tool

Started well. Got the goal.
Should have gone 2 up
Raggy goal.for them equalised
2nd goal for them harts poor parry
3rd goal best of lot. Could see it coming a mile away 2 players stood free on edge of box

Then the hoofball and us losing every 2nd ball. Bardsley shocking hoofball. Drinkwater and hedrick giving ball away. Mcneil absent 2nd half. Vydra played well. Jay ran but no end product. Wood coulda bagged

All in all shite performance witha strong team on paper. Should have won comfortably

Well Stan. It’s a board of opinions. Personally I believe there’s too much criticism and not enough praise on here generally. I’m sure you can think for yourself even if you can’t express it.

I can't think for myself and have to rely on pearls of wisdom like this.
