Dyche lays down the law..

Post by kindonesque » Wed Aug 28, 2019 11:09 pm

"Second half there were not enough players actively taking the game on. The last half an hour is why [some of the players playing do not start many games] because you have got to lay down a marker."

Moral of the match tonight.
Always put out your number one team if you are serious about winning. Sunday's team would have mullered that lot.

Dyche should **** off.

He's responsible for this.

Blaming his players currently not playing and out of favour, what does he expect?

haha, I hope dyche sat them all down in a big circle at gawthorpe and quietly told them it was ok to lose in this meaningless , poxy cup.
and he will deal with the numb headed media parasites post match.

Missing the point there ears. He wants to do the league and cup double but doesn't think we have the legs for the full on treble. Come the FA Cup Third Round the team will be full strength. No rotation.

I think you can file anyone who uses the word 'cucks' as an insult in a certain box and forget about taking them seriously.

Dyche must take some blame for the 3rd goal. He works with the squad and puts players in positions.

The set up was awful and allowed two of their players to be free on the edge of the box.

Not sure I agree with that its up to them when they cross the white line.

How many times do you hear a manager taking the blame himself - "I picked the wrong side"

Dyche does need to give his head a shake. We went 1-3 down and were struggling. So he takes Lennon off (I haven't been a fan of right leg only Aaron but fair play he had a good game last night), moves McNeil into a more central midfield role and as a result we lose all creativity on the wings and spend the rest of the game lumping the ball forward. No surprise the Sunderland Centre Back couldn't believe their luck! Bonkers.

Both of these statements are true

If Dyche had told them to "zonal-mark" then fair enough, however after conceding the second goal after leaving 2 unmarked players on the edge of the area, the players should have realised that we needed to mark them

Lennon had on of his, if not his best, games for us.
I think the only reason for taking him off is because JBG wont be fit for Saturdays game and we need Lennon to start

It wouldn't surprise me if he used the game to experiment with a different way of defending in comparison to the Prem where we are so much better.

Better to lose against Sunderland than the likes of Southampton if he'd have tried the same thing in our first home game.

See if you can construct those words into a sentence.

Didn’t go on but was told by friends who did we played really well up to half time and played some good football. Not much Dyche can do from the touch line those players had more than enough quality to beat a league 1 side regardless of them not being regular starters.
