Lots of very generous donations including your own Cricketfieldclarets.
And we’ll done to the scousers who donated £120+ from the collection they’d had on the coaches.
Having seen their own collections go from strength to strength (now a transit vans worth at every game) it’s clear that they are hoping that our own collections will have the same impact in our community.
Bring a tin for a Burnley win vs Norwich
Great effort father jack.

Individually the donations are nothing. But collectively makes a massive difference.

I didn't know what to expect today to be honest. We were a bit disappointed the club didn't give us any promotion of it and it was all down to this message board and the pic of my tin of carrots on Twitter. But it was way beyond what I could have expected to be honest.

Again well done to everyone involved.

Not surprised the club are staying away from it to be fair.

Really don't understand that second line. Why are you not surprised? I think the only reason they didn't was because it was Community Day.

Was a pleasure to take part in it and I appreciate the WYCLARETS gang turning out in good numbers to support the cause. The concept couldn’t be more simple and for a first effort that was a very pleasing collection. The lads from Liverpool were excellent and more for me, it was lovely to have a chat, albeit briefly, with some Burnley fans who I’ve never spoken to before.

As FatherJack has said, please bring your tins to the Norwich game...I’ll certainly be dropping some off with the ladies and gents from London Clarets.

Why?

Brilliant initiative and why are the club distancing themselves?

It was good fun in the end. Lots of people to talk to as they came to donate and feel really proud that we’ve got this off the ground. Community Kitchen are really pleased with it.

I might have mentioned Spirit of Shankly donating £100 in cash too - make that £250. I'll be speaking to the Community Kitchen this week to see how best to use that donation.

Bins open for your kind donations THIS coming Saturday for the game against Everton. Please bring something for the cause if you’re able to.

NORTH MANCHESTER CLARETS will be manning the eight wheelie bins.

Tony, will our friends from Everton be joining the effort again?

Also, have we had any volunteers from UPTHECLARETS for the game against Chelsea? Need to keep it rolling folks. Momentum is key.

Just a reminder - please bring a donation tomorrow if you can.

I’ve spoken to Paul & Anita, who manage the foodbank, in the last couple of days and they have said we are making a big, positive difference.

We’ve been promised another hefty food donation from the Scousers (blue ones this time too). Any non perishable items you can donate will help make that difference.

The bins will be out until around 2:45 and will be situated by the away fans entrance, club shop corner, behind Jimmy Mac and Ormerod Yard (approach from Belvedere Road).

Thanks to all those who have donated so far and to the volunteers who tomorrow are North Manchester Clarets.

Fantastic The Enclosure - really is superb how Burnley fans are responding to this, a real opportunity to help those people in our own area who are in most need.

The Scousers are here again today, promising to support Clarets for Foodbanks every bit as much as they did a few weeks ago. They've been brilliant this week in promoting it.

It's got off to a terrific start and the support from Burnley fans, and those from Liverpool and Norwich, has been terrific so far.

Please bring a tin for the bin today if you can, it really is helping those in most need.
