I couldn’t find a link for the match so wondered why is Barnes being subbed rather than Wood?

Wood has barely touched the ball

Both front two struggled today, but based on recent form you would have think Barnes would have stayed on.

Giving the ball away far too cheaply and far too often.

I don’t know how Dyche could watch this entire second half and think only one change was warranted

Cork and Westwood both put in a serious shift today. Worked their socks off.

Pieters with a last gasp tackle on Salah, but he is down now. Looks in pain.

Liverpool haven't been at their best today, unfortunately we needed to be at ours and we've been nowhere near. Always difficult against the top sides but Sean Dyche will be disappointed with that I think.

Wood off for me not Barnes.
Victim's of Dyches inability to change tactics during a game again

Clearly his game plan wasnt working but carrys on regardles,
I appreciate this is a good liverpool side but he has got to have more than one game plan.

Nothing to do with tactics or gameplan, if you can't play a 10 yard pass you're knackered, especially against the best counter attacking team in the world.

Sums up the difference between the big budget and the smaller clubs. Scoreline flatters them but they are, sadly a different level to us.

That old excuse.

Who ARE we allowed to beat then?

Infat, WHO are we allowed to look like we've even got a hope in hell against?

Exactly some perspective required people,i'll judge our start too the season after the next few games,Brighton,Norwich and Villa are the fixtures that will make or break our season, not losing at home to Liverpool FGS.

Thankfully Sean is level-headed when we win and when we lose,i doubt he'll be unduly worried about today, this was always a free hit.

The fact that we lost the game is not the point (we were expected to lose) but the manner of the defeat was of real concern
Our ball retention and pass accuracy are quite frankly woeful in all areas of the pitch
We have no pace anywhere, we have little bite/strength especially in midfield and yet the manager chooses to just make one change
For the last 20 mins we should at least have seen a change in centre mid but SD has his favourites who will continue to stay on the pitch even when they are producing nothing

Masterclass from the German - brings up the game last year and how we were too rough so we are frightened to tackle. Having said that two gifted goals and they were resorting to tone wasting for long periods. Can’t believe Alexander-Arnold didn’t get a yellow card and McNeil made him look poor at times. It was unlikely that we would get anything from the game so we will regroup and move on. But Liverpool have pace, quality and flair we have endeavour and commitment sadly there is no comparison.

Let’s be honest we are a kick and rush side under Dyche, it just doesn’t work against the top clubs. We have no plan b but we all know this as does every manager we come up against

Thought Tarks and McNeil were good, rest of them average. Lowton’s passing today was horrendous.

No problem with losing, the economics of it all mean that will happen more often than not. What I find interesting is to see which of our players can compete at this, the very top level and which can't.

Klopp a what a tosser - just been told the first goal is an own goal - “how is that possible” - mmm because it took a deflection off another player ! Pri$K !
