CFS Smokers

Post by Rick_Muller » Sun Sep 01, 2019 12:48 am

Please could all the smokers refrain from partaking in their cancerous habit whilst under the concourse in the CFS, I personally couldn’t care if you want to kill yourselves, but I do object to having smoke blown in my face while I am trying to get to the toilets at half time.

Thanks

Just got home Frank, and it’s the first chance I’ve had to raise this issue which I think is serious enough to raise on here. I thought it was illegal to smoke in confined public places these days, maybe I’m wrong...

Your habitual oral compulsion shouldn't impede on the lives of others; that's just downright disrespectful. Suck whatever you want in your own privacy-I'm not gonna' judge, but don't blow your load in the faces of other people.

Of course it is illegal to smoke or vape in confined public spaces but some ignorant people just ignore these rulings as they don't give a monkeys about anyone else

There isn’t a law against vaping in or outdoors, as far as I’m aware.

Burnley FC was the first football club to implement a formal e-cigarette vaping policy, allowing vaping (defined in the Oxford English Dictionary as, the act of sucking on a nicotine pen like it's your molesting uncle's penis when you were a boy') within the confines of - and thankfully limited to - the stadium concourses, beginning with the Bob Lord Stand (later the 'Totally Wicked Bob Lord Stand'). I'm sure it's nothing more than a complete coincidence that this policy was implemented at the same time Burnley FC's entered into a sponsor partnership with Totally Wicked, an e-cigarette dealer.

Having looked it up it would appear that absolutely ridiculously vaping in public places is not illegal

However virtually everywhere you go whether it is a restaurant or a football stadium or a cinema or a shopping centre etc etc there are signs prohibiting e cigs or vaping as well of course as smoking
Why can't you vapers just wait till you get out and away from the general public?

The club seem to allow smokers to smoke indoors and where ever they want which is illegal. Unluckily for us who don’t want to die it appears smokers and the club are apparently above the law. People who smoke and don’t care about other people are low life **** and they know it. There’s no need to do it in doors in a football ground and in public spaces. It’s plagal to do so because not everyone wants to die like you do. Smokers need to show some respect, most horrible bunch of people, well apart from people who now vape who can’t go 2 seconds without reminding you of the fact that they vape as they see themselves as better then everyone else because they vape. Well I breath in fresh air and I’d like to keep it that way.

It's rather simple, all this. All you non-smoking fannies need to develop another Y chromosome in exchange for your weak X chromosome. According to the scientists on here, man-ing up will solve your problems. The Y chromosome is obviously impervious to carcinogenic mutation. Shave off your useless X chromosome next time you go to the barber. Become all man. Own your moment/live for the day/#lifegoals/thus spoke Zarathustra/whatever such boohoo-JD Sports b0llocks slogan makes idiots conform to a desired set of marketable behaviours.

Get a fire extinguisher, cover them in the contents and tell them to remember Bradford.
To the poster above: to a non-smoker there is not much worse than walking round for the rest of the day smelling like an ashtray. Then when you get home having to put everything in the laundry.

Most smokers I've met are pretty thick and invariably selfish.

This selfish smoking doesn't surprise me.

That’s your opinion, I respect that. For me though, I find it offensive and disrespectful to smoke, especially in a crowded concourse in public. I was also annoyed that the stewards down there didn’t seem to care either. It’s simple, if you want to smoke feel free to, but not on the concourse or under the new marquee in the CFS - do it outside where you are expected to and legally permitted to.

For the record I also think vaping should be treated the same as smoking. I thought it already was and vaping was not permitted in the ground apart from the smoking areas. The trouble is, especially yesterday, there were plumes of vape and it was likely difficult to notice from the periphery that there were also actual smokers in the crowd too.

Mainly due to 68million breathing air but only about 15-20% of adults breathing tobacco smoke.

Whilst on the subject of the CFS, does anybody know the fat, claret-beanie wearing, gobshite Zak Dingle lookalike who bellowed moronic stuff throughout the game. "Ya might be European champions but how many League titles have you won ?" and "Luke Chadwick has won more league titles than you !" being two of his less offensive offerings. He was four or five rows from the front so his constant effing and jeffing couldn't have been missed by the young guests sitting in the bottom corner of the Longside lower.
To be more accurate, the retard only performed from the tenth minute when he turned up to the sixtieth when, thankfully, he cleared off but he managed to **** plenty of people off before then.

He wasn’t the only one, there were others nearer the away fans who had 2 sets of barriers and several stewards protecting them. I think one fan was being particularly abusive and I can’t be sure but he shouted something that really riled the away support, I hope it wasn’t anything “off limits” such as Heysel or Hillsborough as I don’t want our support associated with that.

Bound to have been, I'm afraid.
I noticed some of the Burnley lads charged some Scousers as they were waiting to get on their coach by the cricket field advertising hoardings, causing a bit of a kerfuffle. No need for it, we'd been done over fair and square.
Seems like we have our fair share of knuckle-draggers.

The truth is, it really doesn’t matter that much, everybody dies whether you want to or not. I’d bet more people die from alcohol than they do cigarettes per year, I don’t think that means everybody who drinks alcohol wants to die.

I do all of the above, apart from take drugs.

Where I differentiate myself is by not smearing my take away over people around me and not expect them to be annoyed. I also don’t force those around me to drink my alcohol.

Plus takeaways and alcohol are nice in moderation. Is smoking?

Interesting link that. I was under the impression that the Premier League had banned vaping at all of their grounds. I appreciate this article is old but it wouldn't still be viewable if the policy had changed surely.

Back to the arsehole who seems to turn up purely to yell obscenities at the opposition or the ref and generally moan about our players' lack of effort - yes, even yesterday - the ordeal is made somewhat more pleasant by the nearby company of the hottie who manages/serves in the club shop. A little over-enthusiastic use of the tanning salon but a corker, nonetheless.
Swings 'n' roundabouts, I guess.

There are some quite harsh punishments for people caught vaping at PL Grounds Tony...

But the Stewards obviously turn a blind eye to it....

Vaping wouldn’t be so bad, if it wasn’t for those with the car battery sized units that seem to be all the rage. Any bigger and they’ll be developing a ghost busters style back pack to carry the bloody things.

The volume of vapour, in mushroom cloud proportions whilst smelling of a tarts handbag, is ridiculous and completely unnecessary, especially when you can get discreet ones that produce minimal vapour that has little or no odour.

The problem is that the 'extra years' you get by living, and breathing, your healthy life come at the end when you are wracked by Arthritis or Alzheimers or all the other aches and pains that invade your older self rather than when you are young, fit and active

It is probably the most useless habit, as it serves no purpose.

Unless collecting in a confined place, to do it illicitly, is the actual buzz.

Funny how it is the CFS folk.

Years and years ago, we had a smoke room at work. It had a glass panel in it, so you could see inside.

If you happened to pass it, the smell was horrendous, the smoke really, really thick and if you met a smoker outside the room, you knew it.

Inside the walls and ceiling were a dark brown, instead of a pale grey.

Yuk!
