Good player, and very effective when used properly.

Great achievement, well done Jeff.

Who is our most capped player? i.e. won most caps while playng for us?

Jeff must be pretty high up that list?

I think the answer to that has to be Jimmy Mac with 51 appearances for N.Ireland whilst with us.

So Jeff Hendrick would need just two more caps to overtake Mac at number one.

Alex Elder, Billy Hamilton and Brian Flynn are immediately behind McIlroy with 34,34 &33 respectively.

At least 19 of Hendrick's caps were before he joined us.

Definitely - He’s one of the best midfielders we have when used properly IMO. It shows that he is the go to man to fill in spots he isn’t made for when need be just because others will be even weaker there.

Still amazes me the stick he gets from some of our fans for just stepping into the pitch, every Burnley team has that player though and he’s just taken over from the Dave Jones stick.

Not one of our current players could be described as 'woeful'. Get a grip.

We will probably lose him for nothing in summer. Which will be very disappointing.

Depending on the nature/extent of Gudmundsson's injury I'd say there's a strong case for him slotting in on the right side of midfield. No coincidence that playing that role he was an integral part of the team that hauled us away from danger during January-April last season.

Yet he gets selected by the people who matter, you are right it is strange. Although not as strange as agreeing with you

He’s playing very well. The most advanced midfielder and he’s carrying the ball like he did at Derby when we signed him. His best position.

It’s amazing how people can see the game differently. He was very average in a nondescript first half and faded drastically.

One quote from an Irish forum:

“Hendrick is robbing a spot in the team. Mick says you need to play club football to be in the team. He can't get near the Burnley team and has played a decent international game since 2016 yet always keeps his place. No surprise the goal was him not tracking his man.”

No idea, I only watch England games when it comes to internationals. You can comment without watching though it doesn't stop you when it comes to Burnley

Did think Jeff played well in the first half now faded in the 2nd . The Swiss were a good side great when we scored the whole place took off .
