Definitely one for the family album--jealous! But I don't think we will outnumber Max Verstappen's mates in their Blackpool shirts!

He's more likely thinking it's Aston Villa since his close friend Ashley Young used to play for them.

Re: Italian Grand Prix
What a farce that was. 6m+ Remaining after a red flag and they all sit in the pits daring somebody to come out and break the air for them. After a pedestrian warm up lap only Sainz beats the clock to register a time. Worked out perfectly for Leclerc, he was pole sitter. Mercedes won’t be too unhappy with 2nd & 3rd. Podiums all season will get Lewis another title.
Re: Italian Grand Prix
I hope their giving refunds after that shambles. Disgrace tbh.

I wasn't clear. I meant on that run. It turned out Leclerc beat the clock as well but posted a slower time than his earlier effort.tarkys_ears wrote:They'd all registered a time except Stroll I believe.

Leclerc wins again ahead of the 2 Mercedes,a fair amount of controversy throughout,Vettel had another shocker, what's new for him this season, his status as Ferrari's number one is under serious question now surely.
Hamilton's cruising to the title, and Mercedes are romping away with the Constructor's crown.

Strange one he (Leclerc) cuts Hamilton up, and then cuts the chicane out... seemed like FIA didn't want to upset Ferrari in their own "back yard"
Never mind .... hey at least Mercedes pitted him and gave him the chance of the fastest lap.

Re: Italian Grand Prix
Such a shame Merc got it completely wrong with Hamiltons tyres.
In the end, Bottas was never going to have a proper battle with LeClerc so the race finished with a bit of an anti-climax.
Shocking that the Ferrari was faster on the straights with the trailing Merc with DRS and the slipstream... some major **** ups this weekend (and there was me thinking Ferrari would have ****** up LeClercs race again!)

Re: Italian Grand Prix
I'm pretty sure they had their engine toned down because of the reliability issues. They only get so many a year so if you have problems potentially with your engine and you're fighting a losing battle anyway with Ferraris low downforce and faster engine it's a good time to not take any risks.
I'm pretty sure they knew they couldn't complete and frankly didn't care so much. Funny how Hamilton was mad about being forced off the track though, like Martin Brundle said, he'll get one back.
It's funny as hell to see Vettel struggling after years of countless smugness and success too.
Don't get the winging comments with Hamilton. You clearly must have missed Jenson whinge about everything but him Buttons caterer. Including their time together where he constantly blamed the team and the car.
Hamilton, considering his success and wealth is incredibly down to earth and complimentary imo. . And remember. He's no paid driver, nor did his dad hand him a racing career through his surname like some.

Great post that, regards people saying LH is a winging cry baby, it's the British way, when our sportsmen and women get so successful and get to the very top, there are always some who want to knock them down, strange but true,LH is the greatest British driver ever no ifs or buts.superdimitri wrote:I'm pretty sure they had their engine toned down because of the reliability issues. Re: Italian Grand Prix
His dad bankrolled him from his karting days, from which they were very bad losers when things didn’t go their way. From then he joined the McClaren young drivers programme and the rest is history. Very good driver just a spoilt brat with no personality.superdimitri wrote: Hamilton, considering his success and wealth is incredibly down to earth and complimentary imo. . And remember. Mansell was a better driver than Hamilton anyway.
