Beers in the fridge cooling ... Steaks defrosting for after.
Off out to mow the lawn when our cricketers go in for lunch.... then can settle down to an afternoon/evening of Footy/Ale then Strictly come dancing so the Mrs has informed me is on the Tellybox later

Re: England vs Bulgaria
The usual suspects will be watching. Foaming at the mouth to start talking absolute shite and having a good whinge like they always do. ******* Mings, Tarks would had that. ******* Pickford, shite, Pope would have saved that with his eyes closed and his willy out.

If Pickford got injured in the game who would Gareth Southgate bring on to take his place?
Nick Pope or Tom Heaton?

Heaton is the obvious choice just due to experience.

Like the look of the defence and attack but seem a bit lightweight and short in midfield

Apart from Henderson (who's been one of our best players in the last 2-3 years), we do look a bit lacking.Devils_Advocate wrote:Like the look of the defence and attack but seem a bit lightweight and short in midfield

Re: England vs Bulgaria
Tripps and Keane starting good to see, plus Tom and Nick on the bench shows you can develop into an England international at Burnley, and also go on to better things, can only highlight our club for the positives.

The talk of Qualifying being too easy just made me think that now we’ll lose.

Re: England vs Bulgaria
That was possibly the worst bit of football I have ever seen.
Credit to England though for the pressing to force it/ capitalise on it.

Re: England vs Bulgaria
I think he's dropping deeper than he normally would due to him being one of our most skillful player, and us playing so far up the field. I think it makes sense.Im_not_Robbie_Blake wrote:Can't understand why Rashford is playing so deep.

Re: England vs Bulgaria
Southgate gives a kick in the teeth to English midfielders and plays Mount- plenty of better and more experienced players but if your face and club doesn’t fit...
Re: England vs Bulgaria
I somehow can't get anywhere near as enthusiastic for the national team as I would for BFC.

But you then have fans complaining that they pick players not in form - Mason Mount has been playing well.SalisburyClaret wrote:Southgate gives a kick in the teeth to English midfielders and plays Mount- plenty of better and more experienced players but if your face and club doesn’t fit...

Re: England vs Bulgaria
Are England going to insist on committing defensive suicide, rather than clearing their lines?

Re: England vs Bulgaria
Glen Hoddle. " he went as a boy and came back as a man" (Mason Mount) He does spout some shite.

Re: England vs Bulgaria
Glen Hoddle is harmless enough, but for me he's background noise like the crowd. I don't think I consciously listen to what he's actually saying anymore. But at the same time, from what I do hear, he doesn't talk crap like Michael Owen to make me sit up and think, "WTF!?"beddie wrote:Glen Hoddle.
