Re: Dyche for Watford?!
Nah. Been there, done that.
Run the entire show here and be trusted implicitly, or go somewhere else to be sacked at the first sign of trouble? Only a ******* idiot of Owen Coyle style proportions would do that...

Re: Dyche for Watford?!
Watford's owners have made a good fist of running their club. However, they immediately decided that Dyche wasn't the kind of manager they wanted. They have a European model. The transfer players to and from Udinese at will. The manager isn't a manager, he's a head coach.
They have, as I say, made a good job of it. But nothing will have changed in their view of the job description and Dyche won't have changed either - if anything seven years of success running the show top-to-bottom will have reinforced his view, I'd have thought. If he were to jump ship for a head coach role with all that entails, it would have to be somewhere that also offered a realistic chance of winning something and getting him on to the merry-go-round of "big" managers. Watford isn't that.
I'm not surprised their fans would want him though. He'd have made sure they didn't suffer the heartache of losing an FA Cup Final last year. Woking away in the 3rd round would have been enough to stop all that nonsense.

You havev a think and let me know your thoughts on a) why Dyche wouldnt take it if offered and b) why Watford would offer him the job.Spijed wrote:hmmm...

He wouldn't take it because he knows any bad run, like the one we had up to the Everton 5-1 defeat, and he would be out on his ear.Devils_Advocate wrote:You havev a think and let me know your thoughts on a) why Dyche wouldnt take it if offered and b) why Watford would offer him the job.

As clearly shown, they don't tolerate even a few bad defeats.

He has/is built/building a legacy at BFC ... love him or (as some on here ... god knows why) loathe him ... he knows just which side his bread is buttered ... and it aint at the revolving doors of Watford FC

You know he wouldn’t take it. Why would he gamble his job security and terminate his extremely lucrative contract to take a job that he knows he won’t be in in 18 months time?Devils_Advocate wrote:Reckon Dyche would take it if offered but no chance Watford would go for our Sean
