Two questions:
1. Is he in a stable relationship?; and,
2. Does he have a drink problem?

I bet the people who say Messi couldn't do it in the prem are the same people that said pep couldn't dominate in the prem. It's a complex they have that I never get other than the fact that they get sucked into the best league in the world hyperbole ********. Arrogance of the highest order.

Well of course not. It’s closed.FactualFrank wrote:Watching them in the Foresters doesn't count.

Being free to leave and actually leaving are two entirely different things. I wouldn't expect him to go anywhere else. I'd imagine there have been a few other times in his career when his contract was nearing its end.

Shows how crazy football fans are. If a player leaves, they don't have any loyalty... and if they don't leave, it's because they were scared they couldn't hack it at a different club
The fact Ronaldo has done it all around the world and in the top leagues shows he is one of the greatest of all time, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he goes on for another 10 years (barring injuries). However, despite the fact Ronaldo is playing, I prefer the style of Messi, and he's also, obviously, one of the greatest of all time. Messi creates more excitement when he gets the ball, and I'd love to see him play in the prem - suspect he'll retire though.
Wouldn't choose either of them at centre half though
