Coaches who like their quips

Post by Chester Perry » Mon Sep 09, 2019 12:11 pm

There are many who like their comedy remarks including our Sean, his mentor Brian Clough and Eddie Jones who has taken the boys to Japan today - but I have never come across one who uses similes so much

Funniest thing I ever heard from a manager: Jimmy Mullen at Anfield; “I would have put my house on Liam Robinson scoring that” ( or words to that effect) comedy gold.

Shanks said of players who he didn't think were giving 100% - "I'd jail them, they are a menace to society".

Shanks said of ... Roger Hunt, He might miss a few but at least he is in a position to do that. Or words to that effect ... You can see where some of SD's anecdotes come

This, allegedly, from Ian Holloway on Cristiano Ronaldo..

"He’s six foot something, fit as a flea, good looking – he’s got to have something wrong with him. Hopefully he’s hung like a hamster – That would make us all feel better. Having said that, me missus has got a pet hamster at home, and his c***’s massive.”
