Rather than laud a player for his loyalty, some on here are only intent on criticising and calling him a money grabber. The ideal is to have just eleven players who play game in game out with no injuries and suspensions, never grow old, never lose form etc. That way we will not need any bench warmers stealing wages as you put it.

It is always easier to look at the poster with comments like this, they are generally the ones who vanish when we win but are logged on with 10 seconds of injury time left waiting to whinge when we are losing

He’s been a good loyal servant. Probably prefers to get the chance of a game in the PL and appearances for his country. He probably wouldnt get the former elsewhere. At least he can say he’s played in the PL instead of playing a ton of games in lower divisions. We need back up players and if they know the set up what’s not to like.

I doesn't play often, but when he does he tends to do well - must have won a good number of MOM awards considering how many starts he's had.
On the flip side, he's had 1 appearance this season... and that didn't go too well

Well he wasn't over worked last night that's for sure .
Now in the whole game he only made one mistake and that was a wayward pass forward .
I did fancy him form set plays as their keeper was all over the shop .

Nope had to watch it on the box, our club could only manage 3 of us who wanted to travel shocker really. Yep was in Beggars stood outside around the corner but left early as wasn't drinking as i had to drive when i got home after the match . Funny atmosphere before the game the seemed to be no real buzz mind you that all changed when we scored .

Made up for big Kev, always liked him.

I’m not knocking him st all, when called upon he’s never let us down - it was more a reflection on the different comments made about Drinkwater staying At Chelsea
