Cant believe we are letting Jeff's contract run down.
Re: Hendrick goal
I reckon it's likely we'll have offered him something but he's chosen to run it down. Can't say I blame him really, since his first season he's never been given a proper run in his favoured position.Dinks wrote:Cant believe we are letting Jeff's contract run down.
Re: Hendrick goal
I love it when our players disobey the managers orders and play football on the floor.

Re: Hendrick goal
The commentator said it fell to him. It did not. It was a superb back-heel by Vydra.

Re: Hendrick goal
An absolutely wonderful goal! Just because it was scored in the bottom corner of the goal rather than the top corner it didn't get BBC mention!

Re: Hendrick goal
Am I correct in saying Jeff scored a wonder goal at Goodison after a 75 man move last season or the season b4..get him signed up.

Re: Hendrick goal
He completely did the defender. Funny as my nephew now says 'just done him' after saying it on Fifa.Dinks wrote:Am I correct in saying Jeff scored a wonder goal at Goodison after a 75 man move last season or the season b4..get him signed up.
Re: Hendrick goal
Not seen anything posted to say 1) he has had an offer of a new contract or 2) he has turned a new offer down.jrgbfc wrote:I reckon it's likely we'll have offered him something but he's chosen to run it down. Has anyone else?
Re: Hendrick goal
Nothing official, I just get the feeling Dyche would rather keep him and that we wouldn't let him get into the last 12 months of his deal without offering him anything. We might be hoping we can still persuade him to sign. If he doesn't then he's free to talk to other clubs in January.mdd2 wrote:Not seen anything posted to say 1) he has had an offer of a new contract or 2) he has turned a new offer down.

Re: Hendrick goal
A thing of beauty.
Re: Hendrick goal
Bournemouth (h) in 16/7
Everton (a) in 17/18
Chelsea (a) in 18/19
Brighton (a) in 19/20
Do we need to start calling it the Jeff Hendrick goal of the season award?

Re: Hendrick goal
Amazing that there are people who still think distribution from a goalkeeper isn't important and the moment Pope rolls it out rather than his terrible kicking up field and we score.
Re: Hendrick goal
Agreed. The second half was awful to watch as was Popes kicking.superdimitri wrote:Amazing that there are people who still think distribution from a goalkeeper isn't important and the moment Pope rolls it out rather than his terrible kicking up field and we score.

Re: Hendrick goal
It's a lovely goal. The finish is superb, and the movement and backheel from Vydra are also superb.
Hendrick has also, rightly, got credit for the initial burst past a would-be tackler and the ball through to McNeil, but I reckon the pass from McNeil is as important as anything else. It's threaded through to Vydra and the weight on it is perfect - makes the backheel easy for Vydra. That's the sort of quality McNeil offers us when he comes inside quite aside from his crossing ability.

Peiters, Mee and Westwood celebrating the goal on halfway is brilliant

Re: Hendrick goal
A lot of comments about the Vydra back heel.
I'd suggest Hendrick has still a bit to do from there.

Re: Hendrick goal
He did....but it was the speed of the move in the final 3rd which created the chance and space for Hendrick. Great incisive pass in from McNeil, first time lay off and then first time hit. Really good goal.Papabendi wrote:A lot of comments about the Vydra back heel.
