We played appallingly but that goal was class, sign him up and please keep him in the side!

Do you know, next week, just for once, I'd like to see us line up with our footballers in the side, rather than our work horses. Hendrick, Vydra, Rodriquez all in.

Let's see if we can actually play some football instead of what we saw for 89 minutes today. That goal was superb, playing out from the back all the way up the pitch to their box to score a goal. The only time we showed any interest in passing the ball and we scored.

Started and finished the move. Can’t ask for more than that. Great goal

All the way from the keeper and into the Brighton goal

Six passes without a Brighton player getting a touch on the ball and then a fantastic strike into the back of the net

Lovely strike from Jeff . Last ten mins ( aside from their time wasting /breaking play etc) we had a few moves with Jay Rod etc and looked like getting something .Horrible game though and we were poor as were they

Correct, think it was our only passing move all match, proves we do have some footballers in the side

Who says he's not committed to the club and keen to get game time?

A goal worthy of gaining points, but absolute robbery from our perspective.

Well done Jeff, but we cannot continue with that style/setup/play

In terms of golden opportunities we probably created as much as they did. Cork should have done better in the first half & Wood should have scored with that shot from Westwood.

Disagree. They had a number of promising breakaway and Pope had plenty to do. That was our only shot on goal.

Pope - Pieters - Westwood (I think) - Jeff and beats his man - McNeil - Vydra one touch - and Jeff has continued his run to smash it home!

Beautiful football. A beautiful goal.

Wood should've reacted better, but that was an awful effort by Westwood, he's got to hit the target from 12yrds.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who won his 50th cap for the Republic of Ireland in midweek, came off the bench for his 100th Premier League appearance and salvaged a point for the Clarets with their first shot on target.

Not a bad way to mark his PL century, didn't realise it was his 100th appearance today, all in all a good week for Jeff, saved a point at the death, even if it was undeserved they all count come the end of the season.

Stunning. Hendricks in danger of becoming popular. He really does offer us something different.

Our keepers are always busy, but they tend to be fairly routine saves in most matches. Pope saved everything you would expect him to do and it was a fairly comfortable afternoon for him.

for the first time in a long time I'd have to disagree with you mate, other than the first 15 mins we were abysmal

How many chances did Brighton create that you would expect them to score from?

I'm not saying we weren't abysmal but Brighton had a lot of the ball but didn't have too many chances.

Disagree

If it was roles reversed, I'd be furious if Brighton had stole a point from us with the way we did to them.

But if you're happy with it, and think it was an ok display fair play, you'll never be disappointed with us

I am disappointed with the performance, but Brighton had an awful lot of the ball without creating too many great opportunities.

very determined and strong play from Hendrick from 1/2 way line, and fantastic passing move before he leathered it into their net, what a deft flick from vydra too !!!! Definately goal of the month contender.

What a goal, started and finished by Jeff.

If Defour had done that people would want a statue erecting in his name.

Is it a coincidence that we are back to playing dogger now Lennon is back in the team?

Not putting all the blame on him but we seem to get worse with him in.

I’d like to see Hendrick in for him if JBG ain’t fit and Taylor in for Pieters who offers zilch going forward and is without doubt holding McNeil back.

Hendrick breaking forward from midfield - great to see what he can do in his natural position but no doubt we won't see him there again as Cork is a Dyche golden boy.

Really was a difficult watch and a p*ss poor performance but fair play to our lads, the "strong jaw" strikes again.

Would love to see Vydra partner Barnes and Jeff with Westwood in the middle. I think we play better football with athletic full backs so I would like to see Taylor back in for Pieters too, though he has done nothing wrong. This team could do well, still with JBG to come back into on the right.

Pope
Lowton Tarks Mee Taylor
Lennon Jeff Westy McNeil
Barnes Vydra

Beat Norwich next week and it will look like a good start from the Clarets and we'll be on course to stay up again.

Great to see Jeff influence the game. We know he has it in him but he'd rather pass it 5 yards and let someone else create or shoot.

With him playing for a new contract or new club he could take the bull by the horns a bit more this season, which will we good for him and good for us.

So from 119 prem league games since he signed for us he has only not been involved in 19 games. I would never have thought he has been involved in 100 games. Been a sub or been subbed a lot I suppose.
Bit worried he is OOC next summer

His strike today and the one at Chelsea last season show that when he connects it can be pretty much perfect. You will not see a cleaner strike than those all season. Great stuff from someone on the fringes and really pushing for a start now.

Wouldn't mind seeing Hendrick given a decent run in the middle instead of Cork. Cork seems to be one of the undroppables but unfortunately his performances these days are nowhere near justifying that status.

Would like too see a midfield of

McNeil
Cork
Westwood
Hendrick
Rodriguez

and Ash up front with Hendrick and Rodriguez supporting him

Sadly Wood needs to be rested-he will be back on form but you cannot keep playing off form in the
    PL
