Stopping a game when a player has cramp

Surely it's open to so much abuse as it's not a proper injury.

I’ve complained about it before. It’s a lack of conditioning and the game should never stop for it.
The day a player drops dead from it I might change my mind.

Only head injuries or serious injuries where getting medical attention quickly is important.

Ever ything else can wait.

Exactly, if a player has cramp he should have to carry on, or leave the pitch.

All injuries are open to abuse because most of them are fake. I saw one at Accrington today - how can a Sunderland player be lying on the floor unable to move, and yet know that he doesn't need the physio?

Physios should be allowed on while the game continues

That only works in games where they know roughly where the ball is going next. They always stop rugby league matches, for example, when the injured man is in front of the ball.

Was it a rugby game where the physio brought some false blood onto the pitch?

Rugby Union. He bit a blood phial so that a positional substitution could be made.
