Re: Villa v Hammers
Another ridiculous case of the home fans expecting the ball to be put out of play for an injured man after villa just had a pop on goal with him clearly in pain.
All clubs need to sign up to the "we aren't putting it out of play so don't expect us to" agreement.

Not only that. Villa wanted the ball back after West Ham stopped.tarkys_ears wrote:Another ridiculous case of the home fans expecting the ball to be put out of play for an injured man after villa just had a pop on goal with him clearly in pain.

Should that not have been a penalty to Villa? Fabianski absolutely clatters El Ghazi in a dangerous manner.

Noble could walked there definite dive and he's on a yellow.
Tom's not had a save to make yet for all West Ham's much vaunted front 4.

Yep. Suspect Dean would have flashed the yellow there, if it was his first booking.tiger76 wrote:Noble could walked there definite dive and he's on a yellow. .

Re: Villa v Hammers
"Next Saturday typically means the next Saturday that occurs, within two to seven days. It wouldn't usually be within one day, because if it's Friday, you would usually say "tomorrow," instead. If you're talking about a Saturday that is more than seven days away (with another Saturday in between), you would usually say "a week on Saturday" or "two weeks from Saturday," up to about three weeks. Beyond three weeks away, you would probably give a specific calendar date"Granny WeatherWax wrote:We are playing Norwich this Saturday

Re: Villa v Hammers
Same old crap that yellow cards can’t be reviewed or appealed. How many players have served suspensions over the years because of that dreadful rule.
You are not appealing the yellows you are appealing the red and as the second yellow is unjust so is the red.

Dean is a really good ref normally, but he's got his cards all wrong in this game imo. Massuaka's first yellow was the only one he got right.

VAR can only intervene for straight red cards, but it was a soft yellow.Vegas Claret wrote:nonsense sending off, how the **** VAR doesn't over rule that is beyond a joke
The sending off his galvanised West Ham,how often does that happen.
Mike Dean has now awarded 102 red cards in the Premier League.
He likes being the centre of attention does Mr Dean.

This has been dire.
Mings been decent though, and I’d love to have John McGinn here.

God almighty Villa are a steaming pile against 10 men . Only interesting thing is the ultra amplified sky “ effects mic’s” picking up seemingly anything from farting fans to making 5 people singing a song sound like a Nuremberg rally

I've got Villa pencilled in as one of my 3 to go after watching this. Think the other 2 places are between us, Brighton, Newcastle, Norwich and Sheff U.tiger76 wrote:Good the more in the mix the better.

Re: Villa v Hammers
Hard to argue with that,i can't see Wolves and Watford languishing in the bottom 3 for long,Palace and Southampton are the only other teams that might get dragged into the dogfight, but they've got experienced managers and have both shown enough to suggest they''ll win games.jrgbfc wrote:I've got Villa pencilled in as one of my 3 to go after watching this. Re: Villa v Hammers
I know they didn't look great on the Turf but I think they'll be good enough to stay just out of it. Likewise Palace with Hodgson, unless Zaha goes in January.Spijed wrote:Southampton?

Re: Villa v Hammers
Not sure what netball has got to do with anything. The goalkeeper endangered the safety of the opponent. They never get given so I'm not surprised that it wasn't, but by the letter of the law that's a penalty. I don't understand why goalkeepers are allowed to clear out everyone in sight and make wild attempts to punch the ball without being penalised. Outfield players are sent off for high feet and challenging for headers with wildly flailing arms yet it appears a different rule for goalkeepers.DomBFC1882 wrote:I think you should take up watching netball if you think thats a penalty. Villa look like us. Stay in the game as long as possible and try and knick something.
0-0 is the best result for us.

Both teams seem to have players who have come to the prem for the money from abroad and don’t have much quality.
Re: Villa v Hammers
I think that's a bit unfair to say that about us. In every game this season we've be quite pro-active, trying to create chances.Quickenthetempo wrote:Villa look like us. Stay in the game as long as possible and try and knick something.

I think Palace will have too much quality to be in the dogfight. Hodgson is a shrewd operator I'm pretty sure they'll pick up enough points.ElectroClaret wrote:Might be dark horses for the drop.
