Pubs In Leeds

Post by ElectroClaret » Mon Sep 16, 2019 9:27 pm

Think we're going for a few jars Friday afternoon, havent been in Leeds for years.
Are the main areas still Call Lane (Jakes, Oporto, Revolution, etc.) and Briggate? (Whitelocks)
Just had a scout online and it appears so, but there's nowt like getting it first hand.
Any recommendations appreciated. (New pubs, where to avoid)
Cheers.

Good set of bars around where they've pedestrianised the bottom bit of Merrion St.

Brotherhood, Verve Bar, Parkside Tavern & Belgrave Canteen are my personal favs but there's another 4 or 5 in that area to have a look at.

Just add if its just afternoon drinking some of places I mentioned will be dead as will Call Lane. If its sunny then Belgrave has a great beer garden on the roof but I tend to do my daytime drinking out of town so no idea which pubs (other than the dole dosser ones) will be busy

Yeah, was thinking the same, its different in the afternoons.

Will just have to play it by ear and ask around.
Belgrave sounds good, supposed to be fine Friday.

Headingley is better for a day sesh, especially if the weathers good. Might be a bit mental this week with all the students just going back.

Just roar 'Come on you Clarets' as you exit all the boozers. Then follow it up with 'We all hate Leeds and Leeds ...' You should have a good night..

Get down by't river. Craft Asylum, Water Lane boathouse will see you reet for a few hours. Sky Lounge on (13th I think) floor of the Doubletree for a 2/3rd pint of Goose Island for the price of a pint if you're flush!
