Wow, these fixtures haven't fallen well...
Can't see these fixtures all staying on the same day and the same time, could be a busy day for the British transport and met police...

No confirmation that they’ll all be played on that day

I doubt the Met will be too concerned anyway, they deal with way bigger problems than that.
Lancashire Police would bottle it if we had reserve games on the same day.

No worries surely the Train will be a pleasurable place to be travelling to London for these fixtures all those amiable rival fans mingling and chatting happilyMACCA wrote:Can't see these fixtures all staying on the same day and the same time, could be a busy day for the British transport and met police...

I know they're subject to change, that's why I said cant see them staying the same.ClaretTony wrote:No confirmation that they’ll all be played on that day
Won't be an issue down there, it'll be on the way down, and way back after the lads have a belly full of beer that'll cause the most issues.

Be a fun journey for those with open tickets and no reserved seats getting the last train back

What say The Stable Boys, The Superior Ones and our fans share a footy special train & help reduce transport costs?

Cup semi-finals that day as well. (One of them, anyway.)

Nice of the fixture computer to throw Millwall into the mix too!

Re: TV Fixtures for November
Having seen the fixture list thread, I’ll put a fiver on our game at West Ham moving.

Yes, but not very often - about twice a year.dougcollins wrote:You have seen us play in the cup, haven't you? :-0
Re: TV Fixtures for November
The Met can cope a bit better with a few games at once. They have Liverpool and Man Utd, and Villa and Wolves all in London on Sunday for instance.box_of_frogs wrote:Having seen the fixture list thread, I’ll put a fiver on our game at West Ham moving.

Re: TV Fixtures for November
I would imagine the issues on that weekend will be relating to the journey(s) to and from London rather than actually in London. 3 sets of fans on the same train down, or stopping at services if driving will be harder to Police than a few hundred all at Euston or Kings Cross at the same time. I would guess that at least one of those fixtures will be moved nearer the time.aggi wrote:The Met can cope a bit better with a few games at once. Yep, more of a problem for the British Transport PoliceHerts Clarets wrote:I would imagine the issues on that weekend will be relating to the journey(s) to and from London rather than actually in London. 3 sets of fans on the same train down, or stopping at services if driving will be harder to Police than a few hundred all at Euston or Kings Cross at the same time. Re: TV Fixtures for November
That's not going to be much different to Villa and Wolves both in London though (although admittedly not the same rivalry).Herts Clarets wrote:I would imagine the issues on that weekend will be relating to the journey(s) to and from London rather than actually in London. 3 sets of fans on the same train down, or stopping at services if driving will be harder to Police than a few hundred all at Euston or Kings Cross at the same time. Re: TV Fixtures for November
Absolutely not a major issue for the Met. As said elsewhere, its the travelling fans that will cause the issues on trains / motorway services.aggi wrote:The Met can cope a bit better with a few games at once. Re: Wow, these fixtures haven't fallen well...
Championship TV fixtures not announced yet but with ours staying at 3pm there’s a possibility of at least two of us being at Euston on the same day. Brentford v Preston is more likely to be moved for TV than Millwall v Blackburn I imagine.

It's already been said..amongst the good natured bonhomie and help with directions, there'll be nothing worst than the odd black market twix exchanging hands....
Re: Wow, these fixtures haven't fallen well...
Both could well be in the playoff hunt too, so stay safe clarets, there's potential to be decent followings from those in our shadow.
