Champions League winners (predictions)
So the biggest prize in the club game starts tonight, who'll lift the trophy next May.
I'll plump for Juventus to finally get their hands on their 4th EC/CL title,no real reason except they're solid defensively and have a big match player in Ronaldo,Atletico Madrid could well make the final alongside the the Old Lady.
All the usual suspects have frailties Real are in transition,Barca are too reliant on Messi and have an ageing squad.
Man City are a shambles at the back and have injuries to contend with, and for whatever reason they always seem to under-perform on this stage.
And though Klopp would never admit it Liverpool are focused on the PL this term.
The good aspect is that it's a genuinely open race which increases interest,it was becoming tedious having the same teams playing each other year in year out,Ajax and Tottenham showed last season that surprises can happen, let's hope for plenty more.

It's goalless but not for the want of trying by both teams, these two should comfortably ease through Group E,Salzburg having a CL debut to remember 5-1 up at home to Genk,i guess this highlights how poor the Belgian league is these days.Bosscat wrote:Not a bad game going on in Napoli tonight....

Care to rephrase that they have to get through the group stage and tonight took a huge step to the bottom....jrgbfc wrote:Think Liverpool will take some beating again.

I wouldn't worry just yet, they only scraped through the group last season. No one will want a trip to Anfield once the knockout starts.Bosscat wrote:Care to rephrase that they have to get through the group stage and tonight took a huge step to the bottom....

Re: Champions League winners (predictions)
So after last night collapse by the scousers,my Juve-Atletico final prediction doesn't seem so outlandish now, that's assuming this year's tournament ever reaches a conclusion, which must be in serious doubt i'm afraid.
