Seemingly you are. I made a critical remark about a sport that you presumably like; you then proceed to a disparaging comment about me that, let’s be honest, makes no sense. Surely, if I was a “wannabe posh chap”, as you called me, I would cultivate a liking for the 15 man game, no?

Can we keep this thread about the match and not each other. It's bad enough having to cope with this ref.

No. You seem to be. That’s why you made a disparaging(and nonsensical) personal remark to my comment. I am just mystified as to why.

South Africa will win this with penalties no need to score a try.

I seriously can't watch this crap. All S Africa have to do is keep it tight and they will win on penalties. Unfortunately this is the bad side of rugby, games decided on dubious penalties from an apparent biased referee.

Just not got a grip on this game in any way.
We're being suckered into their game plan by SA.

England have been shocking but I was worried about this ref as soon as he was announced.
He’s the same in the Heineken cup. Allows one side that extra second or two, immediately pulls up the other side for the same offence and gives penalties.
When Farrell spoke to him before our last pen about the offences, hinting at yellows, he said there were only two. There were at least 5 and on or two could have been yellow.

England are awful compared to the semi final but they aren't being helped by the ref ignoring SA infringements and some poor penalty decisions. I seriously can't see England coming back now but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

It’s only when you see a poor ref, like this guy, you appreciate how good Nigel Owens and Wayne Barnes are. They commentate the match to the players. You know every decision and why. This fella gives you nothing, a regular complaint of mine about French refs. Poite is the same, I saw Paul O’Connell, as captain, asking him once what he was penalising Munster for and he refused to tell him.

Rugby biggest stage, the world cup final, and both teams have to rely on the footballers to score any points.

I like rugby, but this has turned into a bit of a farce and a damp squib.

It's just been a case of who makes the least mistakes. Shocking spectacle imo.

All I've learnt from this match is that popping up from a scrum, holding on to the ball while on the ground, cynical offsides and forward passes are all acceptable.

Awful match and an even worse ref. England never had a chance.
