Re: IPTV the end?
Took about 15 mins for Sportsmania to get the 3pms on today but apart from that everythings been business as usual and streamed perfectly.
Gets a bit of knocking from time to time but communication and work they have put in this week to keep things up and running has been class
Great link put up on this forum earlier so I could watch on ipad whist SM got the game working

I've got around 200 channels back on mine.
It will take a while to get all content back up.
Most servers expected back up tomorrow.

On at important times like match time and removed for further building in between. Channels coming and going. Remarkable how resilient these companies are, considering most were with this big panel provider.

Or the NHL or the NFL. All three have centralised streaming services. They also have local blackouts though that would mean you can't watch Burnley home games if you are in Burnley.claret wizard wrote:That's not how MLB works.

Re: IPTV the end?
For those interested with IPTV who dont know the background to whats happened below is the latest update from SM
I thought i would do this post to try and explain why we are at where we are at. Just in case folks are unsure.
So you may have heard about this on the news.
PLEASE READ IT ALL so you can stay up to date with what's happening.
BREAKDOWN OF WHO DOES WHAT
SOURCE - this is who provides content to the PROVIDER
PROVIDER - this who who we get the service from
XTREAM CODES - the software that allows the PROVIDER to create accounts
WHAT'S HAPPENED?
on Wednesday morning at about 6am, authorities in Rome, Italy - working with at least 5 other Euro countries - have taken down XTREAM CODES.
Allegedly, for providing a TV service. This isn't what they do. They build the control panel, legitimately. So, it would suggest they decided to do that on the side.
So, whether they're are gone for good or not is in the hands of their Dutch, Italian and Bulgarian lawyer team.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
The effect that has had, globally, is that any provider using that software cannot currently create, edit, delete any accounts.
Of course, there are other companies who also make similar software for the control panels.
It does not mean the providers' services are gone. It just means that the provider can't make any changes at this time...any providers, globally.
HOW WILL THIS AFFECT YOU?
As you are aware, our service has been affected. We will try to provide what content we can, but without a panel its very very difficult.
We can give NO timescale as we are not the only provider looking at new panels, so like a busy road, more traffic makes it slower.
Once done It should just be a case of clearing the cache and data on your device or, the worst, uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
CAN THE PROCESS BE HELPED ALONG?
As far as the panel goes, we are dedicated to being the best it can be, with a great team for all hands on deck.
SUMMARY
There is no need to panic. This isn't a source or provider issue.
We've all been here before, worse in fact, so it'll all work out.
We will keep the group up to date with where we're at.
thanks guys.

Re: IPTV the end?
Mine is back on in a limited capacity, but has been going on and off all week.
Re: IPTV the end?
The thing is Sky have not done whatever damage you think has been done to football - it was the big clubs (five at the time, Arsenal, Everton, Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs) that instigated it as they recognised the potential of television and wanted to get their full share of the money that could be generated.Paulclaret wrote:I dislike what Sky has done to football, but they, or some other similar company, are here to stay and we have to try and get our share of the money in order to try and compete as best we can.
They still want more then the rest with the now more valuable overseas rights.
Ideas that these big clubs want competition from the rest seem unlikely to me. If they could somehow get away without the rest of us they would. All they want is more and more and to hell with the rest. That's how it started and that is how it will probably end.

Not sure on current situation but the localised blackout only kicked in if the match wasn’t a sellout.deanothedino wrote:Or the NHL or the NFL. All three have centralised streaming services. NHL blackout regardless. They black out in the UK for anything on UK television as well.

do you know the settings in order to obtain latest Sportsmania repo file for Kodi?
On the SPortsmania web site the link for setting up Kodi is out of date and most of the pictures are no longer available.
or do you know a contact there to request their help?
Thanks
Great match yesterday I hope you got to see it. I was in the CFS end

Hi mate,
Below is the repo address for Kodi

As I mentioned on a previous post all the support is done through their facebook group so you need to get on that. Hopefully the below link will take you to the homepage where you can then request access
