Todd Cantwell
Thought he looked really good today, composed and energetic. A bit of passion too kicking off at Barnes walking off a bit slow...
If Norwich go down, one for us next year?

No, he's a soft pansy.

Thought he was crap. Godfrey was the only one who looked ok to me.

Expected more from him. A lot of fannying around but no end product.

Re: Todd Cantwell
Proper Norfolk boy from East Dereham and a big Norwich fan. Has started the season well and kept his place.

Re: Todd Cantwell
Not for me either. Lightweight and ineffective. Very much a descriptor for Norwich as a whole.
Re: Todd Cantwell
Very lightweight player, a continuing theme when it comes to Norwich's attacking players. Dyche got it spot on today with the high press - when they (finally) went long, they had absolutely zero physicality and conceded possession almost immediately.

Seriously? He looked an absolute liability in the first half. He may have well been playing in a claret shirt.MDWat wrote:Thought he was crap. Godfrey was the only one who looked ok to me.

Re: Todd Cantwell
The praise and press he's had already and seeing as he's only 21 will see him move somewhere for silly money.
Would be ace but deeper pockets will be eyeing him up I've no doubt.

Re: Todd Cantwell
I think he has massive potential and he’s only young so he probably won’t be lightweight forever.

Re: Todd Cantwell
Good player. Gonna be great in the years to come.
He’s their McNeill. Everything positive goes thru him. Plays like it matters and he’s trying to make a difference. If he played for Burnley, we’d be loving it... oh, hang on, we are. Like I said, he’s their Dwight, except he really IS “one of their own”.

Re: Todd Cantwell
He looks a good prospect to me. He’s a young lad learning his game and doing pretty well in the top division.
I’d be pretty happy if we had a player like him coming through alongside Dwight.

Re: Todd Cantwell
Surprised some weren’t impressed by this lad.
I thought Norwich on the whole were terrible, but he stood out. He covered every blade of grass for them and was constantly trying to open us up. It didn’t always come off for him, but aside from needing a bit of meat on his bones I think he is something Dyche could work with. Great work rate.
Academic though as he will be going somewhere for big money when they go down I should think. On the flip side, the young left back was gash and every foreign player they had (to a man, including Pukki) looked out of their depth today.

Thought he was excellent today. Yes, he could do with a bit more meat on him, but
that will come in time. He will go for big money if he keeps that rate of progress up.

I thought he looked very good. Comfortable in the ball and liked to run with it. Tried to create. And despite his size quite physical. I’d have him here.

Poor today but a good prospect. I'm assuming the people who thought he stood out was only because he looks like a 12 year old.

Re: Todd Cantwell
Will definitely have better days than he had today, IMO, but has a ton of potential. Been their standout player so far this season in the games I’ve seen. Thought we nullified him well today though.

Re: Todd Cantwell
Lewis did well to sort himself out for the second half - it's not often I feel sorry for opposition players but he was having a nightmare.

Yes agreed. Almost felt guilty for hounding him. Stood up to a lot of ridicule from Burnley fans very well.evensteadiereddie wrote:Lewis did well to sort himself out for the second half - it's not often I feel sorry for opposition players but he was having a nightmare.
Re: Todd Cantwell
Agreed about Buendia, he looks a good player. Cantwell looks a good prospect but needs to strengthen up.
Re: Todd Cantwell
Only Norwich player that stood out to me was Lewis, and that was for all the wrong reasons.
We did a job on them today, and made them look a very poor team.

Re: Todd Cantwell
They all looked what they are.
A team full of confidence, built from their manager, a superb batch of young players and a very successful season last time out
But also
A team that is wide open, and looks like it won't break down organised premier league defences, and how many times did we mess up counter attacks yesterday?
They play like that against pretty much any other team with the premier league no how and they are going to get battered, especially away from home.
I like the way they have some cracking youth prospects though

Lots of pointless back heels. Style before substance yesterday. Sure he’ll be a good un though.
