Burnley were really very impressive and dominant today. Fantastic performances by several players, and played some great football at times.
Mostly the work ethic and doggedness caught the eye.
Norwich definately a decent side too. Great three points , and thoroughly deserved.

Did he really think Norwich dominated that game?

“Of course we are disappointed with the result,” said Daniel Farke. “It was a close game I think"

Deluded, that was not a close game.

The City win clearly got to his head.

Congrats to SD 313 not out. I am sure CT will know who the 3 are above SD and how many games they were in charge of ?

Whilst Norwich were, IYO, very much in the game how many saves did Nick Pope make?

Albert Pickles 1919-1932 336 matches.
John Haworth 1910-1924 464 games though 4 seasons were lost to WW1
Harry Potts 1958-1970 605 games PLUS 1977-1979 123 games Total; 728 games as manager! Be a while before someone takes that 1st place from him!

Thanks bfcmik. Knew Harry Potts was number 1 but no idea of other 2. Sean not far behind Pickles. Will pass him this season unless he gets fired haha

they were totally outclassed , virtually from start to finish, and as MOTD has shown, definate pen for foul on Barnes.
Also, apart from no VAR, the officials let them off constantly for dragging our players by the arm on numerous occasions, terrible officiating.

I never doubted it even if they’d scored I know we’d have stepped it up. Fair play to them for persisting with the way they play but that was the easiest 3 points we will take all year

Unusual bullish stuff from Sean today in the post match conference.

Was he making a point, taking a sly dig at somebody or is he genuinely *that* confident of how good we are?

Interesting comments, for sure.

Has he overtaken Stan Ternent? Only statistically of course, because spiritually, Stan Ternent can never be overtaken: he is the greatest manager Burnley has ever known.

We were workmanlike and nothing more and a very easy 3 points . 2 shots on target, and Krul barely had had a save to make . They had 2 very good chances ( admittedly 1 from a mistake ) while they very lightweight they weren’t without a threat. We desperately need creativity and someone who can either take a free kick or have a shot . Good to Hendrick very confident yesterday though .

You are joking, but without the work Stan, and then Cotterill and the vaguely creepy Frodo and Sam act that was Howe and Tindall did, there is no Dyche's Burnley.

6 shots on target. Wood missed from point blank range. Cork nearly flicked one in. Barnes bent one just wide. Hendrick missed from 2 yards. Denied the most blatant penalty. And we scored two inside the opening 15 minutes.

Norwich had one genuinely good chance and hit the bar with a deflected shot. I don’t think your recollection of the match is very good.

But not as one-sided as to make the comparison with a boxing match. We can be a bit sloppy at times with unforced errors.

We were more than happy to let them have as much possession as they wanted. Norwich ran a lot, stopped a lot, passed a lot but got nowhee near our goal.
They could still be playing and Norwich wouldn't have scored.
It was a rare treat to be safe in the knowledge that they couldn't/wouldn't harm us.
