The current top 5 are definitely the best 5 referees although not necessarily in that order, imo of course.

Interestingly, for all the stick that Lee Mason gets, it was his first RTR performance against PNE....the game where Matt Hill handled on the line in minute two and he didn’t give a pen and a red card and we lost the game. Had he not reffed that match, he’d be higher still in the rankings. He has the occasional poor Burnley game but in recent seasons I feel that he has continued to improve.
