They did it for a big brexit show, not for Parliamentary power to go so far as sending Johnson to prison for refusing Parliamentary decisions using Parliaments not the Laws power.

The law is a separate pillar of the constitution... that is the problem. Parliament decide the law, not the law instruct parliament. It is all arse about face.

Parliament will from now on be subservient to the Supreme Court.

The only way to prevent it is if BJ resigns (unlikely, I would have thought), or if Parliament removes him, not the court... the Courts don’t hold power in Parliament... Parliament (every MP) does through being democratically elected to govern and decide what is and is not To be done regarding the law.
There isn't much that Parliament can do though if it isn't sitting as it's been prorogued.

You do understand that this gives no precedent for overturning decisions made by Parliament? Prorogation wasn't a decision made by parliament. If Parliament had voted to be prorogued then the Supreme Court would have been powerless to intervene.

I feel that you have very much misunderstood what this means and got hugely carried away by it. If it was such a shattering event do you not think others may have picked up on it?

Boris should now move the Brexit leave date forward to Oct 1st.

It will save a lot of bother.

It would certainly save some bother.....I have a suspicion that it might cause some other bother to replace the bother it saves....together with some additional bother on top of the first lot of bother.

Not as much bother as what might happen if he doesn't...

Illlegal or unlawful - apparently there's a big difference?

Yes. He did not break a law but acted outside the limits of what he's allowed to do.
