Not a huge cordon, so presumably not a large suspicious package. Probably in the small rucksack size category.

Still, always best to be cautious.

I really hope not but jeez
Well just a regular package you’d have thought would’ve been detonated in a couple of hours. tonnes of officers and other emergency crews there. And still no access.

I believe club had heard similar things before putting in those match day barriers.

A small suspicious package. Army bomb disposal experts carried out a controlled detonation of a package designed to look like a twix, but with a more than suspicious 20p sticker attached.

High police presence today around the town and outside several local primary schools . Potentially some information being held back or we have some badass primary kids who are wanted.

I boarded a local bus (single decker) this afternoon and noted that there was an unattended rucksack left on one of the seats. There were only a handful of other passengers on the bus and they all confirmed that the rucksack did not belong to them. So, I informed the driver who was somewhat abrupt saying that there was nothing he could do about it and that he would have to take it back to the depot. I reminded him of the publicity campaign run by TFL asking passengers to report all unattended packages and items of luggage that looked suspicious. He reluctantly stopped the bus and came out to inspect the rucksack. Looking rather sheepish he picked it up and returned to the cab. He then informed us that the rucksack belonged to his stepson and that he was supposed to drop it for him and apologised for any confusion caused.
