Portsmouth vs Southampton
I'll go for 1-1 after 90 minutes.

I’ve got a tenner at 9/2 on a Pompey win.FactualFrank wrote:I'll go for 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Danny Ings has scored in the East Lancs Big One, the Merseyside Derby ..... So can he make it a hat trick and score in the South Coast Derby....

Re: Portsmouth vs Southampton
Yes- Ings has netted (against the run of play).
I think he got one last time we played at Fratton Park- the game where we got a good win and Charlie banged a few in as well.
I noticed that guy with the long hair/tall hat & bell that they always used to get on camera on the home kop is still there (and getting on camera).

Danny Ings looking a bit follically challenged.

Re: Portsmouth vs Southampton
Pompey well on top early on and Saints penned in their own half, BUT they didn't put at least 2 very good chances away and....suddenly it's 0-2!

Che Adams looking every inch an EFL player (and not just off tonight's performance).....maybe we dodged a bullet with him?

Re: Portsmouth vs Southampton
It was his first Burnley goal. Charlie came on as a sub and scored a hat trick.LeadBelly wrote:I think he got one last time we played at Fratton Park- the game where we got a good win and Charlie banged a few in as well.

Re: Portsmouth vs Southampton
Had a conversation with a friend about this at the weekend and I think it's mainly down to the team/manager. Put him in our side and if Barnes or Wood missed a game due to injury, he'll be on scoresheet. I just don't think he's managed correctly.Jakubs Tash wrote:Che Adams looking every inch an EFL player (and not just off tonight's performance).....maybe we dodged a bullet with him?

0-3 now
Portsmouth need to beat struggling Bolton on Saturday or Kenny will be collecting his Jackett and cards

We'll never know.... From the 3 or 4 games I have seen him play this season, he just doesn't look up to it. No better than Vydra.FactualFrank wrote:Had a conversation with a friend about this at the weekend and I think it's mainly down to the team/manager. Re: Portsmouth vs Southampton
Cool. I'm not having it though, think he's a very good striker just needs to be managed far far better. He's as good as Andre Gray if he's given the support IMO.Jakubs Tash wrote:We'll never know.... Think you're right. Very reliable from the spot for us. Bet he can't believe what's going on at the moment. Presume they will sack the manager soonClaretTony wrote:He never missed a pen for us but is that three now for Stoke?

Re: Portsmouth vs Southampton
It looked like a very decent move for Sam at the time and I was sure he'd score goals and be a hit with the fans, whatever was transpiring with the rest of the team, but it's been pretty much a disaster for him thus far.

Sam Vokes found his home at Burnley. We fell in love with him. I must say I’m not surprised that he has found it so difficult, even factoring in his injury. Burnley and Vokes were a match made in heaven. Hope he finds some form.
