Wimbledon suspend manager

Wally Downes, manager of Wimbledon, has been suspended by the club having been charged by the FA re: betting

The club has been informed that Wally has been charged by the FA for Misconduct under FA Rule E1(b) in respect of 8 bets placed on football matches between 30 November 2013 and 12 July 2019.

Given the seriousness of this breach in FA regulations, the club has decided to suspend Wally with immediate effect, giving time for the club and Dons Trust boards to look at the allegations more closely and make a further announcement in due course.

Sounds like a great excuse to sack him without paying him off given their lowly league position.

If his 8 bets were placed on MK Dons could he argue they aren't a football club in his eyes ?

I can't. remember his name but what happened to the previous manager?

He had long hair and his hair was a bit like a mullet

Neal Ardley? Wasn't he sacked, he was at Notts County last season but don't know if he stayed with them after they were relegated to the National League.

He was sacked at Wimbledon, then to Notts County and he's still there. Wimbledon have only had three managers since getting into the league. Terry Brown brought them up, then Ardley and Downes.
