Not a brilliant time for people like me who will be driving back from Villa.

I'm intrigued by the time the tickets go on sale:

originally it showed season ticket holders (with 6000 points) could purchase tickets online from 7:30pm on Sat 28th

I delayed buying until then (returning from Villa)

but now I discover these tickets were available form 12:30pm Sat 28th

does anyone know the reason for the change in times of availability?

I know it's not crucial and that tickets are likely to be available well into the week but why change from 7:30 to 12:30 without announcing?

The initial article from the club definitely said 7.30pm but it now says 12.30pm. Don't know when that was changed though.

I see we've got around 1600 tickets initially, does anyone know how many more we get if we sell the first lot

Initial allocation is 1287. The full allocation for the away sections is around 3000 but as Leicester have already started selling tickets to home fans in one of the usual 4 away sections, then there may be another 1000 or so available to us if we sell the 1st allocation.

Was just wondering if they would get to general sale as I was going to book the train while prices are still cheap

Will depend if we take a further allocation. If we do they'll probably go to General Sale.

Just a tip for anyone going by train to this game - if you are going from Manchester Piccadilly then split your journey when you book and it will save you a few quid.

Manchester - Derby return.
Derby - Leicester return

For anyone who decides to do this there is a good little boozer called the Merry Widows close to Derby station in case the wait for the second train is quite long. Think it has a good chippy next door as well

Booked mine.
Was 50-50. All the standing wrecks my leg.
If only everyone sat down, so we could all see!
Must be hopeless for young and short.

You dont actually need to change trains!
We are on the 11.29 train from Sheffield to Derby having travelled from Manchester. However that train to Derby actually continues to Leicester so even though we have bought tickets for 2 separate journeys we just stay on that train through to Leicester.

All this is perfectly legal and above board. Why it should be cheaper to book this way is a little baffling but we do this regularly when going to away games and it saves us money.
I think it was Martin Lewis "the Money Saving Expert" who first pointed this out to train travellers.

As mentioned above, when I've been previously I've changed at Sheffield and then it's direct to Leicester. Good platform pub at Sheffield too btw!

A child was in front of us on Saturday at Villa and had to stand on his seat to see. Unfortunately, the seat tipped and he fell with one leg either side of the tipped seat. Fortunately he wasn't badly hurt but it could have been much worse.

We always change at Sheffield. Get there at 10am have 3 hours in the tap on the train station and then get the 1pm down to Leicester. Cracking pub which we get to visit twice this season.

The usual away sections are blocks M1, M2, M3 and M4. We've been selling tickets in blocks 3 and 4 but as Leicester have been advertising tickets for home fans in blocks 1 and 2, it doesn't look like we've taken a 2nd allocation. Unless block 2 is split between home and away..

Bit surprised that we haven't managed to shift 1200 tickets yet, unless we've taken a few more.

I’m not surprised. Our away support has been getting steadily worse over the last few years, or so it seems.

Still. The whoppers will be out when they can’t get spurs tickets.

Yeah, poor followings like this won't exactly encourage the club to take our maximum allocation for games like Spurs.

Used to go to most away games.Finding it difficult to stand now so I've stopped going.
I'm sure if it was made compulsory not to stand it would encourage more supporters to go.

It is a great pity. After Aston Villa, my leg and ankle was in pain for 2 days. I see no point in standing, when there is a seat, where EVERYONE can see the match.

I can still sing sst down! Who is it that wants to stand and ruin folks view?

I was with someone yesterday at the U23 game who told me he'd had to stand at Villa for the entire ninety minutes and he's such that he suffered because of it during the following days.

Standing at away matches is a problem, and it wont just be for Burnley fans. The clubs need to do something about it. Maybe allow access into each others booking systems so fans can choose what seats they want.

Our club can do something about it like other clubs do.

Don't be fobbed off, don't stop going.

Keep asking the club questions, arrange meetings.

It will take two minutes for someone to set up an option of buying tickets for the first 10 rows, and anyone who stands in that area can be banned.

Get a 'we want to sit down group' together and buy a section of tickets together for every game at the front like a supporters group can.

I've asked stewards why they don't enforce 'persistent standing is not allowed rule'

they tell me its the police that enforce that!

I asked a police officer the same question....guess his reply!!

Its the stewards that enforce that!

a friend of mine wont attend away games 'cos he can't stand the whole match (and I believe many others are same)

...and who will get the blame when someone is seriously injured?

I'm going to Leicester and I'm absolutely confused and don't know whether to sit or stand or even take a small stool so sit on in the gangway. I've thought long and hard and I'm actually going to try kneeling as it's not specifically mentioned or "banned" according to the ticket and it seems like a good compromise and won't upset either side!!!

There has to be a way of managing tickets to allow for everyone.
As above I’m limiting away games this season as it really takes it out on my Dads health.

Feel sorry for your dad. I’ve been to all away games this season, and I’ll be at Leicester. However, I really suffer with back pain if I have to stand all match.

Do you know if we took any extra tickets Leisure? Poor do if we can't even sell 1200 after making a decent start.

No I don't know. But as you say, very poor if we've only shifted 1200 or so. Good job we're not struggling at the bottom of the league!

I am suffering with a terminal illness and after get a taxi from the train station to the ground no matter how far that maybe as i can't walk far without getting out of breath.
I also used to do the journey from Southern Spain till May this year at least 10 time a season carrying this illness, when you get to the ground and everyone is stood its annoying.
At Villa I was in the top tier at the very back and still had to stand when ever i had been before you got to sit
I do it and will carry on doing it till eventually safe standing comes in but i dont think away sections will benefit from when the bill gets passed for the go head so it looks like things will stay as they are
