Is it just me who can't stand, or even understand that camera angle during penalties (particularly shoot outs) where the camera appears to be on the half way line?
It's a relatively new thing, which spoils it for me.
What is wrong with the angle they've used for years?

It’s not just you.
It’s a stupid angle, just because they can.

I don’t get it as well but as with everything in football nowadays if sky, BT and the viewers in the Far East like it then it’s hear to stay.

Re: That silly camera angle!
I always think it gives the appearance of a computer game and don't like it. I assume this is done by a camera on ropes/pullies above the pitch. I went to the Test match at The Oval the other week and it was incredible to watch the overhead camera being manoeuvred round the pitch, swooping down between overs, or even deliveries, and then soaring back up to get out of the way before the bowler ran in.

Spider cam... was bloody funny when those insects were on the lens appearing to run on the pitch chasing the players.....Stalbansclaret wrote:I always think it gives the appearance of a computer game and don't like it.
