Edwin Starr - 25 miles

Rain with Charity Brown - Out of my mind
Still a personal favourite, annoys me that its such a short song

Remember going to Burnley Mecca about 3 times to see him late 60's/early 70's but he didn't turn up. On the occasion when he did turn up we weren't 100% sure that it was him!

Those who actually regularly go to NS events will tell you that Time has been the big record over recent years for Edwin Starr but I prefer the B side Running Back And Forth

Also the B side of You're My Mellow, one My Kind Of Woman has also attracted some play

Enjoy.

A great song but a tad slow for the Northern Soul crowd Cleveleys_claret.

Went to the Colne Muni many years ago and there was no mistaking it was Edwin Starr on stage performing, he was fantastic live.Leisure wrote:Remember going to Burnley Mecca about 3 times to see him late 60's/early 70's but he didn't turn up. Top record, brilliant intro and a floor filler from 1974 to today. Frankie Beverley and the Butlers.
