Weird scoring system out of 25. If it was out of 5 it would be 0011

Which is one of the reasons it is done out of 25. The other being that you can just add the score up and it is a percentage.Granny WeatherWax wrote:Weird scoring system out of 25. If it was out of 5 it would be 0011

Done that way after discussions with a former league referee - same marking system as is used by clubs etc.Granny WeatherWax wrote:Weird scoring system out of 25. If it was out of 5 it would be 0011

Re: RATE THE REF - Lee Mason v Aston Villa
There’s not many referees whose decisions make you burst out laughing or leave you open mouthed and gasping in astonishment- but Mr Mason is that referee

Re: RATE THE REF - Lee Mason v Aston Villa
Absolutely dreadful performance by Lee Mason. Inconsistent decisions all over the place and it must be so frustrating for the players when the ref is as bad as he was. Last season someone said to me that if the Premier League is supposed to be the best in the world, why does it have such bad referees...if he saw Mason's performance on Saturday, he'll be asking me again.

Re: RATE THE REF - Lee Mason v Aston Villa
A. Decision Making (including use of advantage) - 10
Instance in first half when he clearly players advantage for Villa but because the player stopped running for it pulled it back
B. Consistency - 7
Apparently Villa are allowed to play piggyback football
C. Fitness and Positioning - 7
Number of occasions when he seemed to be in the way
D. Control and Authority - 7
Should have got a grip of Villas antics of going down with slightest touch sooner but it was the drop ball decision after the Wesley “knockout”. Obviously Villa haven’t remembered the new law and in his ear about wanting the ball back
The thing is I’m not even surprised or angry at his performance as we expecting it
Wonder if any other teams supporters do rate the ref. Be interesting to see if everyone of same opinion or just us

Re: RATE THE REF - Lee Mason v Aston Villa
Watching a rerun of the VAR goal is hilarious. He's at the centre spot, then randomly picks up the ball, walks 10 yds toward the free kick area, then someone in his ear tells him to do the tv sign, he realizes this takes 2 hands, sticks the ball on the floor, blows his whistle, does the sign, picks it up, throws it to Lowton, then Tarks runs up and does the tv sign to him, to which he was not amused.
Also think he was looking to wind Barnes up from minute 1

Terrible for us right back to that Preston game. When does the useless tool have to retire? Hopefully soon!
