Away pub today
Went to the away pub today that was recommended...
£2 just to get in? Talk about taking the ****. It’s not the money, it really isn’t, just the sheer cheek of it. Knowing full well there isn’t anywhere else to go, they bang a levy on going in a boozer.
I’d love, LOVE to see this reciprocated when they come here.

It's been like that for years. After the match I got told the away pub was the yew tree when we got there, after 20 mins walk, it wasn't the away pub!

Aston is the worst place on the planet for an away beer.
Drink at a refined establishment of your choice in town, and make your way up at last knockings.

Another vote for the Witton Arms getting the worst away pub award.
Special mention for the board behind the ‘bar’ informing you that 1 pint was £4.20, 2 pints £8.40, 3 pints £12.60...etc, all the way up to 12 pints.
£50.40 if you were wondering

Re: Away pub today
The Witton Arms? What a sh*thole. You would think that with all that markup and the entrance charge they would reinvest it into the facilities. £4.20 a pint is bad..but £2 for a standard can of coke? In a marquee that has seen better days, tables that were on the verge of collapse, junk piled up all around. Daylight robbery.bobinho wrote:Went to the away pub today that was recommended...

You didn't go into that room in the pub itself then? That had a board going up to 15 pints..£63!ICL wrote:Another vote for the Witton Arms getting the worst away pub award.
