Do we play better in hostility?
It’s a trait I’ve seen of not just this team but a lot of Burnley teams over the years, when the crowd has that edge to it whether it be home fans whilst away from home or when the Turf is rocking (especially some of those nights under the lights) the team seem to get fired up more. There have been many teams who crumble in that environment but we always seem to come through it and put in a decent performance.

Absolutely. Every manager coming must say “keep the crowd quiet”.
One evil challenge was normally the key to an all action evening.

Re: Do we play better in hostility?
While not hostile I thought the atmosphere against Norwich was surprisingly good. Especially in the cfs. And the game temple matched that and Norwich couldn’t cope.
Nothing annoys me more watching us than crowd just giving up after letting a goal in or sometimes before a balls kicked even.
I remember Leicester away a few years ago. Not hostile but Burnley fans relentlessly sang from about the sixtieth minute and you just knew we would get something.

Re: Do we play better in hostility?
Imagine if we had the Leeds level of support, would definitely earn us an extra 6-9 pts a season

I'd agree about that game at Leicester. You could almost feel the support lifting the players. Was a great moment when Wallace stuck that free kick in.
