BBC Football Daily - Owen Coyle
Almost spat my brew out earlier when he was asked if he'd ever had to deal with a goalkeeper who made mistakes.
He said that when he came to us, Kiraly was number one but he took the decision to give UP AND COMING Brian Jensen his chance. It turned out to be one of his best ever decisions apparently because Jensen went on to play a major part in our success. He's clearly forgetting that:
1. Jensen was 32 when Coyle arrived
2. He'd played well over 100 games for us
3. Coyle tried to replace him with a keeper he'd seen on YouTube.

In Budapest in 2016 we met a load of Hungarian Football fans on the Chain Bridge celebrating Hungary getting through the group stages of the Euro's ... They were chanting Kirally's name... I mentioned to one who spoke English that I followed Burnley FC and Gabor used to play for us, they all started chanting "Burnley Burnley Burnley" it was a quite surreal moment...IanMcL wrote:Credit:

Moses missed out on the promised land. Judas fckued up in the promised land in 2012 but may well now be emulating Moses who wandered through the desert for 40 years dying on Mount Nedo within sight of the promised land. Owen has by my reckoning another 33 years to go to his wanderings.

Are we still bitter guys? He was actually a god on here, got us promoted to the premier league. Did absolute wonders for a club severely lacking in ambition. He did not appear to leave in an orderly manor but move on guys. Remember him for where he put us. The premier league. A few need to grow up I think on this board. Some actually "making fun" out of his middle name. Such a childish place at times

He claimed Brian Jensen was an up and coming goalkeeper at 32, think this thread is more about his lies than what he did for us as a club.Untinted Glasses wrote:Are we still bitter guys? Unfortunately some on here will never move on. As far as I'm concerned he never did anything wrong. ---------Untinted Glasses wrote:Are we still bitter guys? It turns out history served him justice. He was quickly found out and tumbled through the leagues once everyone saw he was a busted flush.
He did wonders getting us into the Premier League. He'd have been a legend if he had kept us there and then left at the end of the season.
Dyche has done so, so, so much better that Judas is totally irrelevant now.
