ZizkovClaret in town with Milton Claret this Saturday :)

Post by ŽižkovClaret » Mon Sep 30, 2019 3:21 pm

Making one of my semi-regular trips over for this Saturdays game, but this time i'll be joined by my brother from Milton, Canada as well as several other relatives including the first time i'll have been on the Turf with my nephew making it a right squad outing :)

Booked in NL3 so hoping for reasonable weather, and for many standing aficionados to have maybe relocated into the CFS ;)

My last game was Burnley v Everton on Boxing Day so i'm hoping for an improvement

Although I’m not really in a position to affect the result, I think I can guarantee that it will be better than Boxing Day zizkov...

Aye, trouble is as a non driver Leeds Bradford is a real ballache to get to and from, as is Liverpool although that has been cushioned somewhat by Ryanair's cheap fares.

Now Ryanair are doing 13 flights a week to Manchester from November onwards its far more doable, especially with having relatives in Manchester as well as Burnley

I assume you’re referring to Milton, Ontario? If so, that’s not too far from me, I’m in Kitchener. Milton’s about half way between Toronto and Kitchener.

Yup, Milton's more or less a 'bedroom community' for people working in Toronto. I'm sure he loves the daily commute  Property prices in Toronto are out of hand, out of reach for a 'working Joe'.

Aye, i think he works from home when he can but its very much hands on lab work so the commute is what it is sadly. I keep telling him he should book a hotel the odd night and have a few beers but he then says something about the wife and kids haha

I guess his commute isn't too bad if his place of work is in the west end of GTA.
