Not bad for a team from a micky mouse league where players dont even need to be fully fit to compete

If it stays like that it'll leave them with no points after two games with a goal difference of 0-5, the consternation in Madrid would be fun to watch. I expect Jose will be liking it too, his Man U payoff must be running low by now (though he's been earning a few bob at SkySports to keep him in bread and dripping I think).

Spurs all the way. Two evenly matched teams who are likely to have a go at each other. City is likely to be a walk over.

I was going to go to the social club to watch this one, but yep... they're showing bloody Leeds vs West Brom.

That's what I was leaning towards tbh. Besides, it could turn out to be a good laugh. :D

Stoke v Huddersfield - Vokesy not in the 18 - is he injured? No sign of Ward either.

Spuds getting tubbed 2-5 at home. Their fullbacks Aurier and Rose are awful, plus their midfield is slow and ponderous. Make that 2-6. Awful!!

Huddersfield take the lead at Stoke with the first shot on target in the whole game - 82nd minute. Again struggling to understand how Nathan Jones is still there. He has to go but already seems like they've left it too late.

Can safely say with no Burnley/England bias that there's no way Trippier would've got buttered the way Aurier did against Gnarby. Some Spurs fans thinking he was a player they needed to improve on to progress might be having second thoughts about now.

Aurier was shocking - £25m and he is awful. Not a patch on Tripps....very strange decision from Poch.

The only positive thing I can say about Aurier is that Mendy cost twice as much as him and is just as bad. Mendy played only his 26th game in a City shirt tonight I still have not got a clue why anyone could pay that much for him. He’s pants.

What on earth has happened at Stoke? 2 points from 10 games now including losing at home to fellow-strugglers Hudd tonight.
No Vokes or Ward in their team but they had McClean, Clucas, Allen, Ince in their team- guys who should be able to hold their own in the Championship.
The match report on BBC site says "Despite the Potters' poor form, there was little poison from the Boothen End towards the beleaguered Jones, rather initial encouragement and then a slightly muted atmosphere prompted by the stagnant nature of the game."
Surely that cant last. They lost c. £30 million in their relegation season and about-to-be reported finances for 2018/19 cant be too good without the Prem TV money.
If the Coates family get bored (unlikely at the mo) they'll be in deep dodoo.

Would that be the same Mendy who made a grand total of 22 appearances across the previous two seasons due to two serious knee injuries and the resulting operations?
Also, due to being out for so long when he was declared match fit he also became more prone to picking up other more minor injuries.

If he gets enough match time he could well regain the form that made him worth the money City paid for him or he simply may never regain that level again due to those injuries, time will tell.

It just demonstrates that whilst some players are exceptional, most fall into a range below.

Our 'team' does well and ALL our players look decent, owing to the manager and his style and application, which is instilled in every one of them.

Yep that’s the one. It’s also the same one who didn’t look like he could defend before he got injured. Did you not see his debut where he got ripped a new one by Ryan Fraser and Josh King ?
Good going forward but that’s hardly an area City need to worry about is it ?
Of course he’s been unlucky with injury but you would think that someone who had played so little and cost so much would spend more time focusing on the club and getting fit and less time in nightclubs and on Twitter.
