I just read on the BBC website that "Opta tell us Bayern would have been expected to score 1.36 goals from their chances. They scored seven.
Spurs' xG was actually higher - 1.97.

Haha, so much for the predictive power of Opta stats.

Kane has been involved as captain but cannot sort it
Dressing.room is divided

Harry Kane only got involved to claim it was him who actually scored with Erikkson’s wife!

Was this before or after Tarkowski slept with Ben Mee's wife? It just goes to show these things can be resolved.

Can’t see why footballers get so wound up , as the vast majority of wives and gf’s are brasses anyway and everyone’s had everyone , they need to chill and enjoy their wealth

Eriksen’s wife is clearly not with him for his personality. Maybe Vertonghen smiles and laughs.

Work colleague of mine said "2-7 scorelines are very rare. I couldn't find another example of one. Do you know of any?" He wasn't taking the ****.

The rumours about Veronghen sleeping with Eriksen's may be slightly more believable if Eriksen was married.

Spurs will soon realise that they just need to drop Joe Hart.

I think they’ve got about 3 rows of flashing LED advertising hoardings right around the ground. Must be very annoying and distracting for folk who go to watch football.

On the same subject, and slightly off topic, there will be a second row of LED hoardings right along the length of the Bob Lord from next season*. Something for spectators in the JH to look forward to.

*I don’t know this as fact but if you see what is happening at plenty of other grounds around the country I wouldn’t bet against it.

Way back in season 1963-64 Spurs were beaten twice by the scorelines of 7-2. The first time.was in September 63 at Ewood Park, the second time at the end of that season at Turf Moor. I saw both games. The day Blackburn beat them we were away at Everton and we won 4-3 but being just 11 years of age I wasn't allowed.to go to Goodison Park.I had to settle for Ewood Park with an older relative. Our victory at Everton ended a run of nearly two years unbeaten at.home for Everton who at the time were the dominant side in Liverpool including in their ranks ' the golden vision' himself in the form of ,.Alex Young.

checkov post 15, you just reminded me of the time I worked at the club and suggested to the Commercial Manager Jack Buttterfield around 1975, that it would be a good idea to put an extra row of advertising hoardings on the Bee Hole fencing, above the ones around the perimeter wall, which they did. I think Jack did ok financially for himself from my suggestion, at the time, I know I didn't.
When I asked him about having Bank Holidays off ( a bit Bob Lordish), I was told you don't work for a bank, end of.

Nail on the head, Tim. The aim of the advertiser obviously is to catch your eye, or more like distract you.
The irony of what they’ve done at Tottenham with their stadium is that they’ve designed it I assume so that as a spectator you have optimum viewing experience, with the focus being the pitch. After all you are there to watch the football. But with all these arrays of bright flashing LEDS the aim is completely at odds with why you are there in the first place i.e. they are saying, no, don’t look at the pitch, look over here instead.
I’d be interested to hear from someone who’s actually been to know what it’s like vis a vis what I’m going on about.

I’ve posted on here several times asking if anybody has a copy of a photo of Arthur scoring one of his 3. His position is exactly like a hurdler crossing the hurdle, as the ball leaves his boot. A wonderful shot. I saw it in the following days papers but I wouldn’t know which one.

My brother collected a huge number of newspaper cuttings, reports and pictures from season 58-59 to 62-63 and the picture you mention I'm sure is in that collection.
