Sat in the dark with strangers, gives me the creeps. I’m fine until the lights go down.chekhov wrote:Interesting. What is it about cinemas? Do you have to avoid going in them completely?

Talking on the phone. Used to answer the phone at the house when I was a kid and my parents were out...with it being the 60s and the lines all crackly I guess it stayed with me.
Even now it'll take me 3 or 4 weeks to phone somewhere
up to make an appointment.

Re: Phobias
Rubber balloons for me! I hate the noise they make and the fact they can randomly pop, awful! Especially worse when children have them and are playing about with them, can't stand in the same room!
Strangely absolutely fine with foil balloons, so I think it is more then noise of the "squeak" and how they can be squeezed etc
Excuse me whilst I go cry in a corner at the thought of it!

Ditto. It doesn't matter if they have their mouth closed, if it's crisps - go away.Longsider wrote:Misophonia

The missus reckons I'm a closet-agoraphobic, though provided that I stay in the closet, it's not a major problem
