Everton tickets still available
Quite a few seats still not sold.
Surprising really, I thought this was a banker for a sell out, the biggest game for us outside of the top 6 super clubs.
Starting to think we sold less STs this year and interest is waning a tad.
Come on Clarets get them snapped up.

Re: Everton tickets still available
That's a lot of seats to sell to say we play them on Saturday.
At Villa was the biggest away following since Everton away when we did the twenty quid tickets
Arsenal was the lowest i have seen there, they sold our end out to tourists
Brighton was low too so was Wolves you can ring out the reasons but we have to except we are what we are and the gates are dwindling a tad

Sold out Everton at home last season on Boxing day, season before around 1000 tickets unsold. Not sure it is a surprise there are tickets left

We didn't sellout last season. The attendance was 21484 and our highest attendance was 21741. On Satrurday it's looking like it'll be around 20700, which is very similat to our 4 previous games against them-claretonthecoast1882 wrote:Sold out Everton at home last season on Boxing day, season before around 1000 tickets unsold. Maybe corporate tickets or disabled spaces get counted in?

Re: Everton tickets still available
I not seen an official capacity attendance just some quotes from different sites what fans have seen
But i would have thought with the re seating of the CF it would be close to 22K
with 18K strong home support 2.4 away Leisure's estimation wont be far off
So 19.5K is around the official home support and in my view this wavers off any need for an increase on capacity to the stadium i think the club have it bang on as it is

Re: Everton tickets still available
I totally agree, we really don't need any increase in capacity and threads like this just back that up. We PROBABLY could sell 2 to 2.5 thousand more tickets than current capacity for a certain (very small number) of games e.g City, Liverpool, Man U, but that means it would largely be a waste of time expanding the ground. Most actually agree on this, but most also agree that some areas need drastically upgrading, starting with the CFS and we should be at least thinking about this.
Re: Everton tickets still available
Pretty poor when a prem team can't sell 22k.
Average £30 = £30,000.

They could easily bring 8 or 9k here if we gave them the tickets.

Yes I know your views on Away fans at Turf Moor you obviously like football played in a sterile atmosphere.strange from someone that travels away more than most. The Hanover scenario was Embarrasing from a policing point of view tbh. Football tourists at Turf moor are to be encouraged and welcomed....but they'll enjoy the experience more I'm sure with a passionate home and away support...more seats at turf moor for me.Leisure wrote:Overseas visitors. Re: Everton tickets still available
Interest was always likely to drop off once we had a few seasons at this level, particularly if we're bobbing around bottom half/mid table. We only sell out the big games because of away fans buying in the home ends and tourists.

Re: Everton tickets still available
And if all this talk of increasing the capacity what if we went down a league it is hard enough now to fill the place.
You can model this off what happened to Coventry
They were a very established top flight club when they played at Highfield Rd with very similar crowds to ours and at the time it was very well run winning the FA cup things were ticking a long very nicely
Then one day they came up with this big idea to go bigger and shiny new state of the art stadium
The rest is history and it's been a crying shame since for the fans since at the time of there demise they were the longest established top flight club UTC

Re: Everton tickets still available
There will be more Burnley fans in the ground saturdaythan there were 4 years ago
Roughly 1000 tickets left, but 2000 in the CF stand. Therefore, our support has grown in that time, who's to say with further seats it wouldn't grow again? Additional seating will be undercover, not pitchside ( these seats are always last to sell because they aren't appealing due to poor view and open to the elements) would you pay £30 for a poor view and get wet through? I wouldn't!
Additional seats would allow families to sit together and enjoy the game, get the Burnley bug and return week after week. Seats dotted here and there, not together deter folk from attending. The club needs to grow the fan base of the future.
You only have to look around on Saturday to see we, in general, have a ageing fan base. I see this more evident at away games in comparison to the average visiting fans I observe at Turf.
Burnley fans in the CF allowed the club's fan base to breath by 2000 fans or so, having only 1000 ish tickets left for Saturday surely indicates there's potential to breath again at some time in the near future, especially with the loss of bury and precarious position of Bolton.

Current online sales availability. It appears limited in most of the ground, but yellow in the Longside lower corner. That normally sells out quickly so I assume more tickets/areas have been added?
We normally sell out for this fixture don’t we?
To be honest though, if I didn’t have a ST I wouldn’t buy some of those seats unless I was desperate. The view at the front of the bottom tier is horrible, and if it rains...

Re: Everton tickets still available
There is nowhere else to put more away suporters. Moving the seg line further across was a brilliant idea, and sitting (standing) in that area the view is miles better than it was in our other CFS seats. If you give the away support more they will outsing the ground every week, as nearly all who enjoy a Saturday sing along are now housed in the CFS. As we all know the acoustics are superb in there, certainly compared with the rest of the ground. Its an advantage that we shouldn't give up. The number of away fans is just fine as it is. It will be a good atmosphere on Sat especially if we start like we did against Norwich.

Re: Everton tickets still available
When we have a near capacity crowd (Manchester/Liverpool clubs) most of the spare seats around me are taken by away fans ; adding nothing to the 'home' vocal support. Perhaps the club could consider allowing ST holders to buy tickets for friends/family with maybe 25% discount and fill the ground every match. The club,IMO,give great value on season tickets ,mine is £219 for a 65+ in the JML and therefore, should never be considered greedy.
