Tony, how do you know that McCann played but no confirmation of Chris Eagles?

both players will have been impressed with facilities at Gawthorpe even if the 'years ahead' Bolton training ground was so much better in 2011 ;)

How old is McCann now? It feels like a lifetime ago he played for us, and that he should have retired.

I’m being lazy whilst at work (sneaking a few moments away)and wasn’t interested enough to read the article, as you can tell, so you could have just said what you didn’t but add his age in. Oh well.

32 - which surprised me, doesn't seem that long since he was in the youth team but then it is over 14 years since he made his first team debut

injury V Sunderland in our 3nd home consecutive home victory seriously affected his development

He'd been outstanding in the previous home game against Everton too - we'll never know how good he might have been but he was out for virtually two full seasons.

And McCann has now completed his signing at Oldham on a short term deal - he'll be well known to Dino Maamria from their time at Burnley.

Lived next door to me for about 3 years from 2007-2010. Shared with Kyle Lafferty then Alex McDonald. Good neighbours. Very pleasant and polite. Told me a funny story about Clarke Carlisle finding himself sandwiched between Emile Henry and John Carew in the 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa. Clarke decided he needed to do more gym work! He moved away from Rawtenstall at the end of our season in the Premier league. Good luck to Chris at Oldham.
