Ginger Baker passes away aged 80

Watched the Joker film at the Cinema last night and Cream classic White Room was played in it

And then this morning I see that former Cream and Blind Faith drummer Ginger Baker has passed away

How GB made 80 when you think about his lifestyle is amazing.... but he was fantastic in his heyday....

RIP Ginger. As above I am amazed he got to 80 but good on him. A man who loved and studied his craft, great drummer.

A terrific drummer and Cream was a fantastic band in which he was integral to their success.
I was doing a youtube music trawl last night and (amongst many) played White Room and saw a few recent comments on there that it had been used in The Joker film. Listening to it, and coincidental to that news today, I noticed the great drumming & played a couple of other tracks. Fantastic rhythm section with JB on bass as well.

A very very sad day for me, as he was the one that got me hooked on drumming and I've
never ever regretted it.

One of all time heroes and I thank him for so much, none of which can ever be replaced.

RIP Ginger, and thank you ever so much.

R.I.P. Ginger... They played down the Nelson Imp, Ginger Baker on stage for at least 30mins playing a drum solo, then on walked Jack Bruce, then Eric Clapton , great times
