Kamara
On GoS did a very comprehensive review of our goal and was most complimentary.

Re: Kamara
He also espouses the notion that if there is contact "you are entitled to go down". And that ain't right.

Re: Kamara
saw a stat today that Man United haven't scored from a set piece for around 220 days - how long has Jose been gone

That's because they are useless!Chester Perry wrote:saw a stat today that Man United haven't scored from a set piece for around 220 days - how long has Jose been gone

Re: Kamara
Kamara actually pointed out that as Tarkowski was doing his blocking job on half the Everton defence, he actually looks back to check if Hendrick is coming in. Well spotted Kammy.

Re: Kamara
I caught a few episodes of Goals on Sunday and I must say Alex Scott is a great host for it.

Watching yesterday's game, if you didn't know they were Man U you would think " there's a side that are going to be in a relegation battle ".Spike wrote:That's because they are useless!
They will no doubt improve, but they have no chance of a Champions League spot.
Re: Kamara
Just watched Kammy on GoS alongside Alex Scott.... He does love a set piece training ground practised goal...
Looking at the replays from all angles ... Tarkowski is brilliant marshalling Sneiderlin as well without fouling him.
Don'tcha just love it when a plan comes together

They will if they win the Europa Leaguelakedistrictclaret wrote:Watching yesterday's game, if you didn't know they were Man U you would think " there's a side that are going to be in a relegation battle ".

Re: Kamara
You could tell from the reaction of the players that this had been a planned move. Hendrick looked delighted at both the planning and the quality of his volley (and rightly so), but you could tell from the reaction of everyone that they'd worked on this specific routine and it had come together beautifully.

Re: Kamara
Especially since it nearly came off in the first half as well, you'd have thought Everton would have picked up on that at half time.claretspice wrote:You could tell from the reaction of the players that this had been a planned move. Re: Kamara
It was so much better than the MotD analysis. From Barnes standing by Pickford, legally. knowing what Schneiderlins job was and showing Tarks starting spot. Then Tarks running around the back of Schneiderlin and legally blocking him from getting back to Hendrick.
A thing of beauty.
In Westy we finally have a player who can deliver a deadball to where we want it. Ben Mee has had many opportunities outside the far post but has yet to bury one. It’s coming.

Re: Kamara
Clearly planned as we tried it in the first half. Hendrick was unmarked then too.claretspice wrote:You could tell from the reaction of the players that this had been a planned move. Re: Kamara
That is zonal marking. No one is marked. Everyone is supposed to be marking space but most teams have a gap at the back post. We’ve been trying the head it back from that spot for ages. Usually it was Ben nodding it back. This seams like a neat variation requiring more skill but Jeff seams able to do it.FactualFrank wrote:Clearly planned as we tried it in the first half. Re: Kamara
Zonal marking works well if the the organising is done correctly. Everton left the back post in the first half, as I mentioned, and we could have easily scored then.andyh wrote:That is zonal marking. Brendan Rogers will be all over this.
Re: Kamara
MotD pointed out that Keane had spotted the danger and was pointing to Hendrick - sadly to no avail!!!!

Re: Kamara
This was Kamaras point. Schneiderlin dropped into the position for the ball over the top but Tarks was moving sooner, got behind him and then locked him in.Hipper wrote:MotD pointed out that Keane had spotted the danger and was pointing to Hendrick - sadly to no avail!!!!
