Pitchside electronic ad boards
I know physically they belong to the PL but I was thinking about them the other day.
Do we get money from these or are they part of the TV rights deal from the PL?
I presume from the sometimes high profile ads that the latter is probably the case but presumably the club's shirt sponsors are also allowed a showing?
Could be wrong, can anyone shed light?

We get the money - we also pay handsomely for the technology hire
Re: Pitchside electronic ad boards
I hate the bloody things especially that bloody dog marching around the ground grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Then with the flashing on and off .... what if someone had a problem with flashing lights etc ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Advertising is bad enough on my TV, phone and computer without it being rammed in my eyeballs at Football grrrrrrrrrrrrr
Its a pet hate of mine ...

If we didn't have them then how would we know about the world's greatest expo in Dubai?

That's what made me wonder if it was operated by the PL... not many Burnley folk will be exhibiting there, surely?Moorite wrote:If we didn't have them then how would we know about the world's greatest expo in Dubai?
I guess like everything, they're after the global TV audience, not british folk or people at the ground.

I presume Everton have installed them behind the managers themselves.
Very distracting.

Most of the adverts are for the global TV audience ....tarkys_ears wrote:That's what made me wonder if it was operated by the PL... not many Burnley folk will be exhibiting there, surely?

I must admit when I saw the Dubai thing, I thought ooooh I am in Dubai overnight in March next year and then saw it was winter 2020/21 so The grand Expo won't have this Claret attending
