Tremendous coup for the Muni !!

From the posters outside I think their next star appearance after "Percy" will be the bloke who played Les Battersby in Corrie for the annual panto !!

Muni did well for gigs in the late '80's early '90's. Wedding Present played there more than once, House of Love, Lush, The Godfathers and Echo & The Bunnymen also played there and of course the Milltown Brothers.

I think you're misunderstanding Taffy. Robert Plant is not some sad, faded,over-the-hill rock star still forlornly touring the Northern clubs trying to live off past glories and singing "Whole Lotta Love" backed by the house band. He has had a long, varied and acclaimed career, albeit non-mainstream, since the Led Zep days and could easily sell out larger venues still. The Saving Grace project which is coming to the Muni is a deliberately low-key, intimate vehicle and , far from feeling sad, I celebrate the fact that Colne will host this.
The Muni is a great gig venue too.

I believe I also saw Brilliant Corners and The Mighty Lemon Drops there.

The Godfathers. Blast from the past. Will have to look them up again.

I remember seeing Rick Wakeman and also Saxon there. Both a lot better than expected.
