Dean Henderson in England squad

Post by ClaretTony » Tue Oct 08, 2019 9:02 pm

Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been called up by Gareth Southgate to replace the injured Tom Heaton. That moves Nick Pope up one place I suppose but still behind Jordan Pickford.

Nick's just waiting for Tarkowski to be called up. Then one hefty bump when they're practising corners ...

If he keeps on developing can see Dean Henderson as the natural successor to Pickford. A lot can change in 5-10 years though so anything could have happened by then

You can see why he's in there, early prep for the world cup squad....unless someone better emerges in the meantime.

Mr Buckland and Mr Gunn are no more then.
Plus all those keepers from Southampton!
