I know I shouldn't do it because when I look at one of these picture threads I'm filled with that strange malaise, 'homesickness'.
I left Burnley in my teens and I'm well past my threescore and ten, yet some of these pics. stir something inside which I don't really understand. A certain text mentions 'That strange and indissoluble attachment to the place where one derived his infant nurture' - for me it certainly exists and, as I age, seems to be getting stronger.
I've managed just two brief returns, - the last day of the Longside, and home against Plymouth the following year. Reality tells me that those visits will never be repeated, and these picture threads, whilst being an absolute pleasure, fill me with a strange sadness.
Will I stop looking? - absolutely not! Believe me, you're a lucky lot - you can reach out and touch.

Using the great open source camera app "Open Camera" and it's slightly fiddly pano mode.

The long exposure was taken using Nisi filters, high quality glass ND filters.
