They are not lower level. Bolton have a long standing Cat 1 & 2 academy.

How can Bolton still have a cat 1 or 2? Academy. Thought that required some serious financing and facilities

Surprised by the Cat1 & 2 academy. Where are they based as I thought I’d read they sold their Euxton base?

We wouldn't be playing them if they weren't Cat 2 - they were previously cat 1. Their base hasn't moved, it was the first team base that was sold. They are still at the Eddie Davies Academy at Lostock.
