Our form this year

Post by jurek » Sat Oct 12, 2019 12:15 pm

Well since that 5-1 drubbing against Everton on Boxing day.

We've played 27 games since then.
Won 12 drawn 6 and lost 9.
Scored 39 goals and conceded 36.
And gained 42 points.
I think that's right.

Not bad really.
In fact, pretty good and fairly consistent.
Let's hope we can continue in the same manner.

I think most Clarets should be pleased with that.
I certainly am especially given that we looked relegation
candidates after that Everton loss.

If we were to keep the same form up until the end of the season, we'd finish on about 55 points

That would be great. Well safe and could finish 8th. Just below the danger of 5th to 7th. 4th would be better though.

5th and 6th are OK assuming the FA and & Mickey Mouse Cups are won by top 6 teams. They go automatically into the group stage of the Europa League so you get to do the proper pre-season stuff.

I think it’s 11 wins, 7 draws, 9 defeats, 40 points and it’s a terrific return given we had only won 14 points from the previous 24 Premier League games.
