Strip question?
Could anybody let me have the colour codes for the Claret & Blue, please.
I know they’ve been posted previously but it was a long while back and I doubt I could find it.
Thinking of getting a flag made up.

I thought you were about to ask whether I start with the bra or knickers.

There's no definitive code i'm afraid. Everyone has got their own idea of what the right shade of claret and blue is. Think about the variations on Burnley strips over the years. BFC marketing people might be able to give you the RAL/Pantone code for what they use

Sat in the pub and a rather large lady comes round with raffle tickets. Pound a strip she announces.
Fiver if you keep your kit on wasnt the response she was expecting....

Cheers, Rileybobs. If the flag makers can’t use that directly it should put them in the area of what I’m after.Rileybobs wrote:Not sure about the kits but the current website colours are as follows;

BTW. This is my design. Not one for taking flags to matches but going to all the grand tours next years so I thought I’d do some advertising.
Thoughts?

Re: Strip question?
I’d put BURNLEY FC at the top.
Also CT will tell you, that’s not the club badge,

Why didn't you use the Burnley FC badge?Tricky Trevor wrote:BTW. This is my design. Not one for taking flags to matches but going to all the grand tours next years so I thought I’d do some advertising.

Re: Strip question?
Cos if you showed them both to 100 random footie fans possibly 10 would get the official one but 90 would recognise the shirt badge. The other is too much like Wigan or Barnsley.ClaretTony wrote:Why didn't you use the Burnley FC badge?
I’ll mock it up and compare.
Can’t find a photo with a Claret background which spoils it, although the manufacturer could possibly correct that. Also think the large amount of Claret in the centre of the crest would clash with the background.

But that's neither the "shirt" or "official" badge
That badge is 10yrs out of date

Re: Strip question?
You've confused me now but the badge you had isn't the club badge, it's the old county borough coat of arms. The club badge has Burnley Football Club on it, not Pretiumque et causa Laboris.Tricky Trevor wrote:Cos if you showed them both to 100 random footie fans possibly 10 would get the official one but 90 would recognise the shirt badge.
